Some graduates and teachers of the School of the Faith at Mongu in Zambia

At the end of June I was finally able to make it to southeastern Africa to inspect the projects supported by CANELA. We usually make these visits once a year, but the pandemic restrictions kept us away for more than two and a half years!
I am praying for you!
Father Robert CANELA
Dear Friends in the Lord,
You will see that the School of the Faith, which we support in five Africa countries, is flourishing. Especially in Malawi, one of the poorest countries on earth: the School there has well over ATHOUSAND pupils, and things are growing. Despite considerable years working in Africa, I was distressed to see so much poverty this time. This is probably because I was in very difficult-to-get-to places. In the diocese of Karonga, for example, almost no Catholics possess Bibles: they just can’t afford them. In that same diocese, only 13% of people have regular access to electricity; I saw countless children playing soccer with rags stuffed into a plastic bag for a ball. And yet, there is great happiness in these places, especially where people are learning more and more about their faith. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. Thank YOU so much for being a part of this and please, keep supporting us with your prayers and if possible your means.
