Location: Room 30, lower level , Student Recreation Center

What is the Challenge Program? The Challenge Program offers people innovative ways to improve their abilities when working with others. This learn-by-doing approach focuses on creative problem solving and effective communication. Join us in a day of fun experiences that will activate inner resources, increase trust and enhance group cohesion. Each program is tailored to meet the needs of the group. Our team of facilitators has experience with clubs, office units, social organizations and corporate groups.

Where is the program facilitated? Our all new lodge and outdoor ropes course is located in the Indian Creek Recreation Area off of South Indian Creek Drive in Stone Mountain.Team building sessions can also be conducted on the GSU campus.

How do I schedule? ■ Email challengeprogram@gsu.edu or call 404/413-1773 ■ Reserve date at least one month in advance ■ Make payment at least one month in advance to avoid cancellation ■ Confirm all details no later than two weeks in advance A minimum of 10 people is required but larger groups are easily accommodated. Sessions may range from two hours to half day to a full day.

This experience is great for staff members, clubs, academic classes, sororities, fraternities and athletic teams!

How much does it cost? Full day cost:

Non-GSU groups must contact Carson Tortorige (404/413-1773) for fee structure. Cost varies depending on program length and size of group.

What do people say about the Touch the Earth Challenge Program? “The ultimate proof of the success of this program was walking into class the next day and looking at all my classmates in a completely different light. They were no longer just people filling a chair in the classroom, they were now my friends, people I can talk to, trust and depend on.” ~Lindsey William, MGS 3400 “Overall, I enjoyed the Ropes Course and wish that other students could have the same opportunity to participate in it. It helped me to build new relationships with my classmates and learn to trust people more. Also, I was able to climb trees and learned how to walk on ropes. I can tell now my friends and family that I do other stuff besides study while attending Georgia State.” ~Reginald Dennis, MGS 3400
