Membership is limited to faculty, staff, students and degree holding graduates of Georgia State University. Current students are members through their student fees.

CHILD SWIM LESSONS Saturday Classes

PARENT & CHILD Parent & Child

Ages 6-36 months. Parent(s) must participate in the water with the infant. This class teaches underwater acclimation while parents learn how to give their child a positive experience in the water.

PRESCHOOL 10:35-11 a.m. $10, $20 Preschool 1 3 to 5 year olds who are new to the water will develop comfort in the water, learn water entry, bubble blowing, floating, kicking, underwater exploration and general water safety skills.

Prerequisite: Able to demonstrate completion requirements of Preschool 1. 3 to 5 year olds who are very comfortable in the water will learn new skills such as combined arm and leg action on front, treading with support and general water safety skills.

CHILDREN’S LEVELS 1-4 11-11:45 a.m. $10, $20 Level 1 Must be age 5 the first day of the program in order to participate and be comfortable away from parent. Objectives: Supported floating on front and back, gliding, kicking, and alternating arm and leg action.

Objectives: Unsupported float, gliding, kicking on front and back without support, combined arm action with kick on front and back, treading water without support, personal safety and rescue skills.

Objectives: Front crawl with breathing to the side, coordinated back crawl, elementary backstroke, scissor and dolphin kick, treading water skills, diving from the side of the pool and personal safety and rescue skills.

1-1:45 p.m. $10, $20 Teen Swim This class is for ages 13 to 17 and focuses on getting swimmers more comfortable with the water and beginning to develop basic kicking and stroke technique.

NUTRITION $15, $20 Starter Paws One hour nutrition consultation with two 30-minute follow up sessions; includes a food diary assessment, menu ideas and individualized nutrition related goal setting. $5, $10 Just Paws Additional 30-minute nutrition consultation. $15, $20 REEVUEÂŽ Metabolic Testing A fasting test showing how many calories your body needs in one day. Must have completed Starter Paws prior to purchasing.

Personal training sessions include cardiovascular exercises, muscle strengthening and endurance exercises, and flexibility exercises.

Nutrition consultation sessions include discussions about dietary habits and goals for nutritional intake based on individual nutritional needs and within the scope of practice of the nutrition practitioner. The Fitness Center reserves the right to make referrals out rather than provide services to clients when issues exceed the scope of available services and/or scope of practice of the practitioner.

REFUNDS

Refunds will be given for sessions if there is a documented medical issue that precluded provision of 24 hours’ notice of the need to cancel or reschedule. A refund will also be given if the scheduled sessions are returned to the session pool for administrative purposes.

CARRYING SESSIONS FORWARD ONE SEMESTER

A maximum of three sessions (sessions, consultations, tests) may be carried forward for one semester (spring to summer; summer to fall; fall to spring). Any sessions not used by the end of the second semester will be forfeited.

Studio B Tai Chi Tai Chi uses yang-style 24 form as moving meditation. Sat. Studio B Comprised of the traditional dances of North Africa and the Middle East. Known for its graceful hip drops, rolls, and pivots, this dance form utilizes muscle groups in the abdomen, pelvis, trunk, spine and neck, working with the body instead of against it. Belly dancing is based on movements that come naturally to the body.

Aerobic/Dance Studio Hip Hop Learn the basics of hip hop dance. Move to the music from the day it started until now – Run DMC, Sir Mix A-lot, Cardi B and Migos. Upgrade your dance moves this semester.

FORFEIT FEE POLICY For league sports, teams will be required to pay a $30 fee if a team forfeits a game. For video games, individuals will be required to pay a $10 fee if a player forfeits a game. If the individual/team forfeits a game, the captain will be sent a notification through IMLeagues informing him/her that the team must make the $10 or $30 online payment to remain eligible to participate. If no forfeits occur, no payment is required.

COSTA RICA: MULTISPORT SPRING BREAK Saturday-Saturday, March 16-23, 2019 $2,275, $2,350, $2,400 Join us on this adventure of a lifetime! Then embark on a two-day adventure – rafting the crystalclear water of the Rio Pacuare and camp along the shore. Experience a waterfall rappel adventure, as well as a 15-mile rafting trip down the Rio Savegre river. You will be able to park in the provided spaces and given a voucher that must be validated by TTE personnel in order to exit. Do not park on the curb.

RENTAL POLICIES

• Reservations can be made a week in advance and must be made in person.

• Must pay in full at the time of reservation.

• All rentals are based on a per day charge, no modifications to this rate will be made.

• Reservation cancellations must be made at least one day in advance of the check-out date to receive a full refund minus a $5 handling fee.

• A $1 per item per day late fee is charged in addition to the daily rental fee. Exception: Bikes are charged $20 per day.

• Upon return, all tents will receive a full inspection. Pending the number of returns, inspection could take place within a week of return.

• For equipment that needs to be repaired or cleaned, you will be charged $15/hour, up to original cost of the equipment.

Fees associated to these costs will be assessed within a week of equipment return.

• Failure to pay late fees or damages may result in a hold on your account or suspended rental privileges.

CERTIFICATION CHALLENGE AND RENEWAL

For a certification renewal, you can demonstrate practical skills to the on-duty climbing supervisor at no cost. Experienced climbers may take the written and practical tests without the clinic.

Experienced climbers may lead climb routes during normal hours.

You must follow the designated lead route. Ask about a Lead Climbing Certification Clinic to certify or challenge out. You must prove significant belay experience before taking the Lead Climbing Clinic. Offered September 22 and October 13, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

The cave has both vertical and horizontal overhanging terrain.

Any skill level may use it in a “no ropes” bouldering format. It is located across from racquetball court #4 adjacent to the Climbing Wall. Check in with the Climbing Wall attendant.

Focus is on creative problem solving and effective communication. The experience will increase trust and enhance group cohesion. Programs are tailored to meet the needs of the group.

LOCATION Sites vary depending the group’s preference. Groups may choose facilities and grounds from our challenge course at Indian Creek Recreation Area, the downtown campus or off-campus locations.

RESERVATIONS Complete online reservation.

Reserve date and make payment at least three weeks in advance.

Confirm all details two weeks in advance. A minimum of a 10 person charge is required but larger or smaller groups are easily accommodated. Sessions may range from two hours, half-day or full day.
