Premier Manufacturing Facility Our plate mill is one of the few In U.S with capability of rolling in width up to 160 inches and thickness up to 6 inches. It is backed by a wealth of controlrolling experience, by far the greatest in North America, to produce plate to modern, exacting specification, combining yield and tensile strength properties with desired micro-structure for all weather applications. Equipped with three furnaces, a 6000 HP 2-HI roughing mill with shaping and cross rolling, and a 12000 HP 4-HI finishing mill, both mills have fully computerized, hydraulic gauge control.
Our pipe mill is North America’s premier high capacity straight seam DSAW mill employing the high speed, high capacity, U-O-E process. The mill has unmatched annual capacity of 500,000 net tons, in grades up To X-80 including sour-service applications. Product range: 24 to 48 inch outer dia. and 0.25-1.25 inch wall thickness.

The Leadership JSW Steel (USA) Inc., marks the newest international foray of the JSW group and its first major footprint in North America. The facility is America’s premier large diameter line pipe and ultrawide plate mill which motivates us to cultivate it into a global leader. Our first task has been a major upgrade and expansion of manufacturing capabilities, for which a large investment program was undertaken. Simultaneously, we are remodeling the governance cycle of the organization to fit JSW global standards and matching it with process upgrades aimed at streamlining operations. The US operation has reoriented itself to the core value system of JSW which has won us global recognition. We will aggressively seek out opportunities in the American and global economies and develop our product line and processes to offer better product solutions to our customers. We enjoy a

JSW Steel (USA) Inc. The JSW Steel facility is located in Baytown Texas, 30 miles East of Houston. Built in 1971 to manufacture pipe for the Alaskan Pipeline, it currently comprises an ultra-wide Plate Mill, a large diameter DSAW Pipe Mill as well as a comprehensive double jointing & coating facility. We offer enjoy fully integrated operations from steel plate to line pipe manufacturing to value added services of double joint welding and internal and external coatings to meet a wide variety of ASTM,EN,SAE & API specifications.
JSW (USA) leverages the vast strength of JSW Steel‘s production capability in India, ensuring full system integration from Iron Ore to coated pipe within a single order. We enjoy an excellent geographical location close to the Gulf of Mexico and Houston’s Oil & Gas industries. We are also near the deep water Port of Houston which connects us with intermodal transportation: Options from our own barge dock on the Houston Ship channel as well as our extensive rail yard as well as road transportation.

Corporate Social Responsibility The JSW Steel (USA) team strives to contribute to society through a community outreach program.
