Mitos21 statement

STATEMENT The European theatre network mitos21, representing some of the most prestigious public theatre institutions in Europe, stands in solidarity with our colleagues in Hungary, the faculty members and students of the Budapest University of Theatre and Film Arts; mitos21 supports their struggle to safeguard the autonomy of SZFE, a University that has nurtured, over the past decades, generations of outstandingly talented artists, who have brought Hungarian theatre and film international renown.

We urge the responsible authorities to revoke all the measures taken recently that undermine the autonomy of the Budapest University of Theatre and Film Arts and to fully reinstate the legitimate leadership of the institution.
