NAUGHTIEST THING:
Too many to count! Eating boxes of chocolates, tearing open cat food bags, chewing expensive leather shoes, and going #2 at the airport-- even went on the moving walkway!
Phobia for fart noises... Whenever someone makes the noise, I can’t help but sniff my own butt and hide under the bed. I always think I did it!
Cockapoo, 10 years
Cody“HSHV Foster failure! I was brought home as a foster, but the resident dog and I hit it off so well, that we didn’t stop playing most of the night on my first night.
My hoomans got no sleep, so my hoomans bought an air-horn the next day. This turned into our signal that it was quiet time, and we had to stop playing and go to bed.
They didn’t think anyone would get along with the resident dog who became my sibling then, which was so much fun. I also got along great with the resident kitty, too.”
Had so much fun completely shredding a nice, brand new, fluffy bed in my crate--making a nice poof-filled crate for myself to lay in! My hoomans even let me keep it that way for a long time, until the fluff made its way too far all over the house.
I was the main kissing booth dog at HSHV’s Walk n’ Wag event, and helped to fundraise a lot of money for them!
Pitbull Mix, 15 years, HSHV AlumSnuggling in bed for as long as possible. Then a neighborhood walk, and then hanging around for a long time in the yard! Some chicken should be involved too.
Raided a friend’s litterbox, and rolled around in the treasure. On his white carpet. Twice.
FAVORITE FOOD CHEESE! Beagle, 11 years, HSHV Alum
Trick one of my hoomans into believing that the other hooman hadn’t given me my dinner and greenie, so I get more of each. I have also entered into a neighbor’s kitchen and started eating their dog’s food.
I like howling with my hoomans. When I was young and wanted to go out, I would get one of my mom’s shoes from the entrance and bring it to the living room.

When I was new in this home, I snuck into the spare room where the cats’ food is and ate up ALL of the dry cat food out of their food puzzles. I may not have teeth and only one good eye left but nothing wrong with my nose! I tried again but I never found food on the floor in that room again.

Jack“My mom had researched what to look for when choosing a puppy, and took a print-out with her when she came to the shelter. I grabbed the sheet and started eating it. She said “That’s my dog.”
Just walking around sniffing the neighborhood and then, a good treat to chew on in the front yard.
Staring at my Mom waiting for her to take me on a walk.
My feet point left and right.

“One evening when my hoo-man got home from work, I was exactly where she had seen me last when she left in the morning - lying next to the coffee table. Extremely concerned that I was unwell or had injured herself, she ran over in a panic. I had just been watching the huge, yummy treato on the lower shelf of the coffee table all day. Why had I not eaten it, you ask? My hoo-man hadn’t said the magic word OK.
