New Day Advocacy Center
Established in 1983, Ashlands New Day Advocacy Center has a mission to provide a safe haven and support services to victims of Family Violence and Sexual Abuse; and to provide Preventive Education which will challenge the cultural beliefs and attitudes about the use of abusive and controlling behaviors in our communities.
As a credit union, we reinvest our earnings back into the communities we serve. Each month we will feature a different non-profit organization, nominated by our members and employees, by awarding donations and celebrating the hard work they do. At the end of 2022, we will vote for 3 of the 11 non-profits and award the winners with a larger additional donation up to $10,000.

Eddie’s Restaurant
Ben and Mary Anderson are thrilled to be the new owners of this historic and iconic spot in Superior, WI. Founded in the late 1880’s, Eddie’s Restaurant has been a staple restaurant in the community. They hope to revitalize the restaurant and plan to offer more robust food and drink choices, including vegetarian options while embracing the community by using local food suppliers, wine, spirits, and beer vendors. “SCCU is proud to provide this funding to Ben and Mary to help them achieve their dream of becoming business owners along with enhancing the Superior area community and encouraging growth in the restaurant industry,” says Eric Anderson, SCCU Commercial Loan Officer.

I recently was promoted to Virtual Solutions Delivery Manager in the Solutions Delivery department! I’m excited for the new adventures that are happening now and in the future!

Solutions Delivery has 2 areas, but our whole team consists of Jay, David M., Tyler, Callie and Phil (on occasion).

I’m still learning all the ins and outs of my new role, but I am overseeing the Virtual area of Solutions Delivery. I work on and help with any system(s) related issues, maintenance, upgrades, and implementations.

I help people with computer issues.
WHAT DOES A TYPICAL WORKDAY LOOK LIKE FOR YOU?
A typical workday? Well, it varies on what’s going on at that moment in time!

I get frustrated like everyone else when systems are not operational when I’m doing the best I can to get them operational.
HOW DOES YOUR POSITION BENEFIT MEMBERS? EMPLOYEES? WHAT’S ITS PURPOSE?
Systems need to run smoothly for us to operate not only as organization, but for our members as well and if that’s not happening then it’s frustrating for both members and staff.
