Branch Updates Gilman
Gilman is moving and taking a really long trek....across the street. Gilman will not only be getting a new address but the new look and feel as well. With an expected opening in May, the new Gilman branch will create a better member experience by providing an open space that places focus on our members and ease of access to opening and managing accounts.
Tower
Tower is on track to undergo a 13-month renovation to upgrade, modernize, and inherit our new colors. Though the branch itself will continue to remain open throughout the entire renovation process, the drive-thru and lobby will close for short periods of time for upgrades.
Rice Lake
Table of Contents
Our in-process branch in Rice Lake has officially broken ground and we can expect to see its doors open by the end of the year. This branch will be our biggest one yet and it’s being built from the ground up to include modern features and our new colors.

With the addition of our Community Engagement Coordinator, we have ramped up community engagement by participating in more events and actually striving toward meeting a monthly goal per branch. With the increased participation, our ONLY and extremely boring SCCU tablecloth wasn’t always available to those who needed it. So, we decided to grow our inventory and provide an “event kit” for every branch. Included in the kit is a tablecloth, membership applications, pens, balloons, stickers, and more! Make sure to attend an event or two in the coming year to see our new goodies in action!

The purpose of Superior Spotlight, mployee recognition program is to recognize our great employees who are following and mission and core values of SCCU and to make all of our branches feel more connected. se this platform to say “thank you”, congratulate, and recognize each others outstanding even the option to send e-cards! Grace House

Grace House is a nonprofit organization in Grand Rapids, MN that provides safe, temporary shelter for people experiencing homelessness. As Itasca County’s only homeless shelter, Grace House typically serves more than 200 individuals and children each year.

Grace House guests may stay at the shelter for up to 30 days if needed to focus on developing life and job skills that enable them to become more self-sufficient in the community. The shelter is equipped with an on-site mini resources center where guests can access employment and housing opportunities. Private office spaces afford guests the opportunity to meet with Grace House’s trained staff and other professionals in a private, confidential setting.

Marketing has been working tirelessly to vanish all remnants of past logos, both the dull blue and ~the purple~ that sends shivers up marketings spine. While they have rebranded everything from letterhead to deposit slips and are in the process of updating our mobile app and online application, there still seems to be old logos that pop up randomly and out of nowhere. If you see an old logo please put in a ticket with marketing so we can get it changed out.

Do you know a high school senior? Well, in 2022 we’re awarding 5 high school seniors wit smaller awards to a larger number of students. This year we’re switching it up to make a b with any highschool seniors! fIt’s an opportunity to win a $1,000 scholarship toward their feel free to share with family, friends, and members. As a reminder, applicants must be S
