On Monday we broke ground in Rice Lake, WI where we are building our largest branch yet! This location will serve as both a branch for members to perform transactions, meet with financial specialist and mortgage experts, as well as be our Administrative Office 2.0. There will be space for our marketing and community teams, and we can’t wait to become more involved in the Rice Lake community. Did we mention there will be fresh baked cookies?! We are so excited to share our growth and the movements we are making to better both our members and employees experiences here at SCCU! Our entire Executive team joined by our Facilities Coordinator & Community Engagement Coordinator attended the ground breaking and got to be a part of SCCU’s history when breaking ground to our new branch. This branch is our first “from the ground up” construction since changing our look and feel. This location gives us the opportunity to grow our team, serve new areas, and show our commitment to constantly becoming better for our members & employees. If the construction gods are working in our favor, we should be seeing this branch open in 2022!

Gilman Moved! Our Gilman, WI branch got a much needed facelift when it moved buildings, and sadly we had to part with the “Money bathroom”. Yep, thats right, they had a bathroom with dollar bill wallpaper covering every wall. Now the branch is sporting our fun bright colors while giving off friendly and energetic vibes. We are going to be celebrating the opening of this new branch during the Gilman Dairy Days over fathers day weekend (More info on page XX). If you are in or near Gilman, make sure to stop in to see the new digs! You’ll want to keep your eyes peeled for a BIG surprise in the works to be unveiled during our dairy days festivities

Gilman Food Shelf

The food pantry in Gilman provides fresh and non-perishable foods to people in need in Gilman and the surrounding areas. They have access to foods weekly. In these current times of inflation, this service is needed and utilized more than ever.
As a credit union, we reinvest our earnings back into the communities we serve. Each month we will feature a different non-profit organization, nominated by our members and employees, by awarding donations and celebrating the hard work they do. At the end of 2022, we will vote for 3 of the 11 non-profits and award the winners with a larger additional donation up to $10,000.

DRESS CODE POLICY
The time has finally come! A new dress code is here, if you remember from our April issue we introduced our new dress code but hadn’t enforced it yet. Effective immediately this new dress code policy will be in effect - we cant wait to see you in your cowboys hats! - Check the April 1 issue for a little dress code policy refresher..... Just kidding, as much as Marketing & HR would LOVE to see you in orange tank tops & neon teal cowboys hats that’ss sadly just not practical. See below for the real (we mean it this time) dress code policy.

The marketing team is continuing to ramp up their event engagement by organizing and planning multiple events at once. See what we have coming up!
Volunteers needed:
We have joined forces with the City of Superior and Sterling Silver Dance Studio as a community partner for the 4th of July Parade in Superior. We need your help as volunteers on the parade route. The parade is usually around noon on the 4th of July. You will help keep spectators safe and make sure the parade is moving along. You will get a free t-shirt for your efforts! Just email breannaw@superiorchoice.com if you are interested in participating!
Realtor Mixer

Just last night we had our final realtor mixer at Barkers Island in Superior. We invited local realtors from all of our communities to join us so we could thank them for all the work they do for us and further strengthen our relationships with them. Our mortgage team personally reach out to realtors and we had a much better turn out than at our original events and we are happy we shifted our approach. We are thankful for local realtors who work with us and look forward to expressing our gratitude and serving their needs in the future.
