Gilman A Brand New Gilman!!
Table of Contents
We’ve made the official move alllllllllll the way across the street to a fresh new building with our new signature branch look and feel. We celebrated the grand reopening over 4 days in conjunction with Gilman’s Dairy Days festivities complete with a ribbon cutting with the chamber, check presentation to one of our scholarship winners, participation in the youth livestock event, and town parade.

Hit Heavy, Stay Humble
The Gilman move is the perfect illustration of this SCCU core value. Yes we upgraded the building, complete with a snazzy interior and exterior unlike anything else in the town….BUT we also stayed true to our roots and the roots of Gilman. Although we didn’t keep the money sign wallpaper, we did manage to move an original safe across the street, which now serves as a coffee table in the new lobby of Gilman. A beautiful memento and ode to our history. We also restored the mural that spans the entire side of our new building. The original mural was painted by a local teacher and her students, depicting the first train to ever run through the town. We reinvigorated the painting (incorporating our SCCU colors, of course) but left the handprints of the students who were originally involved in the project. While we are trying to make a splash and do things differently, we will never forget where we came from and what made us who we are today.

There are 3 levels to the MES role that include: By empowering our tellers to help members beyond just transactions, and empowering our FinSpecs to take mortgage applications, not only are we creating a better member experience, but we are creating a more efficient branch.

WHAT IS GAP?
MECHANICAL REPAIR COVERAGE
GAP is a voluntary, non-insurance product designed to waive the remaining loan balance not covered by the borrower’s primary insurer in the even of a total loss or unrecovered theft.
Mechanical Repair Coverage (MRC), is a vehicle service contract to help in protecting members from unexpected vehicle repair costs. Since people are holding onto vehicles longer, MRC could be more important today than ever before. MRC protects more members, more ways – and increases non-interest income for the credit union.
Subject to limitation and exclusion, including but not limited to loan to value maximum, delinquent payment, late charges, refundable service warranty contracts and other insure related charges.
