SCCU got to share our financial tips and knowledge with College Seniors at UWS. Tony Bye talked about all things investment and retirement to encourage the seniors to think about their future. Katie Bedard tought them all there is to know about taking out loans to finance their dreams whether that a car or a new house. Devin did a general overview about the CU, where we are located, and the shared the SCCU savings tips.

Second Harvest Food Bank
Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank is a 501(c)3 charitable non-profit and is the largest hunger-relief organization in the Northland. Each year they distribute over 7 million pounds of food, or enough food for 5.6 million meals, which feed approximately 44,000 of our Northland neighbors in need. Their distribution occurs through a network of effective regional agency partners and through their own direct service programs including our: Food Shelf, Mobile Food Pantry, Nutrition Assistance Program for Seniors (NAPS) and BackPack Program. Second Harvest is committed to providing nutritious food to our Northland neighbors in need, supporting their healthy lives and our healthy communities.

As a credit union, we reinvest our earnings back into the communities we serve. Each month we will feature a different non-profit organization, nominated by our members and employees, by awarding donations and celebrating the hard work they do. At the end of 2022, we will vote for 3 of the 11 non-profits and award the winners with a larger additional donation up to $10,000.
