Back to School Heading back to school may look different but it is a very WELCOME event! We are sad that we will not be able to have our annual Back to School Night Celebration, but we are so delighted to be preparing to welcome our students back to school. We are working diligently to provide a safe and clean environment for our students and staff. Please check your school letter concerning Covid-19 procedures. Our desire is to bring students back to a safe and clean environment without disrupting the flow of normalcy to the best of our ability. With all the added physical changes, we are increasing our prayer for students, staff, and families for safety and protection. God is faithful to those who call upon His name and trust in Him. Please join us as we daily lift all of our facilities before the Lord, believing for His divine protection and guidance.
Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
OCE Bulldog Athletics It appears that we will be starting our sports programs as normal. Please closely watch Dojo for announcements of sign-ups, practices, and games.

Classrooms and hallways will soon be full of laughter and busy students once again! We cannot wait! We have missed you, students. We know God has great things in store for this school year!
Proverbs 3:5
Pointers for Navigating Through to a Successful School Year…. 1.
Expect ups and downs. Life is full of them for all types and all ages. Let students have time to work out issues on their own. School is a great place for gaining strong character and social skills.
2.
Be supportive of your child’s teacher. Remember the last five months and what a challenge one or two students was! Send notes of encouragement or a cookie!
3.
Show excitement when hearing about your child’s school day. Ask them questions about their day. Statistically, students who do well have parents who are involved. Volunteer! Attend events (when possible)!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
Preschool, Pre-Prep, Pre-K Tips for a successful school year: 1.
Our Fall Early Academic classes will begin on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 @ 9:00 a.m. There will be introductions to the classroom and schedule. After Labor Day, all students will begin full-time with their curriculum. You will be amazed at the academic growth of your student this year! We are always so impressed with and proud of our OCE students!
Before & After-school: Bulldog Kids Club
Reading begins early at OCE. Our infant department is where it all begins. Excitement about stories, puppets, and dramatic presentation are developed at a young age. Vocabulary and listening skills begin at infancy. We want our babies to enjoy and grow from story time!
Work is in progress to increase the opportunities for clubs afterschool. Bible quizzing, chess, gymnastics, martial arts, music lessons, and many other ideas are on the table. If you are interested in volunteering for any of these clubs, please see Mrs. Taylor. Important Communication Avenues… 1. DoJo, an app connected to your phone. If you are not connected, see your director. 2. The OCE Website: Outreacheducation.org

First days and first weeks can be hard for four and under. Separation anxiety, new classrooms and teachers can all be intimidating. Know that your child is in good hands and this anxiety will decrease as time goes by. This will be a great year of learning and growing. Make sure your child has a good night’s rest! Bedtimes between 7:30-8:00 make for enough rest to have a good day! A good, healthy breakfast increases brain ability for learning. This also helps with mood and attitudes towards learning! Being dressed for success starts in preschool. Comfortable, clean clothes, and hair pulled off a child's face help with focus. Students feel gratified when they follow the dress code. Being on time for class is important. A lot of important and happy things happen at the beginning of the day. A hug, kiss, and transferring your child to an OCE attendant while making a quick exit helps for a smooth transition. IT’S GOING TO BE A FABULOUS YEAR OF LEARNING AND GROWING!
For almost 100 years, this building has been serving the children of our community, and OCE has been part of that for more than 40 of those years! We are a small school doing BIG things! Students are growing academically, spiritually, and socially. Have you been blessed by your time at OCE? How has it impacted your student and your family? We need you to spread the word—it’s our BEST form of advertisement! Families are looking for alternatives to traditional education. Your referrals truly make a HUGE impact! So, recommend OCE to someone today. We love you and are honored by your partnership. May God bless you as we enter this new school year together! Outreach Christian Education 2900 N.E.
