Edgewood JCL MMXXIII - MMXXIV Scrapbook

Historian’s Note

Salve,

This scrapbook has been carefully constructed to align with the both the national quote, “Multa, quae impedita natura sunt, consilio expediuntur[Many things which are naturally difficult are solved by ingenuity]” - Livy, Ab Urbe Condita, XXV.11; and our club quote, “Astra Inclinant Sed Non Obligant[The Stars incline us, they do not bind us].” With these, the costume theme, and the prevalence of the space center in the local area in mind., the scrapbook theme is everything space related including the zodiac signs along with other major constellations from Greek and Roman mythology.

The goal of this scrapbook was to not only showcase the many experiences and memories we made this year but to encompass them in a way that highlights the fun and friendly environment that they occurred in. All of the backgrounds are from the Chandra, James Webb, and Hubble Space Telescopes and they have been altered to “hold with the purple and gold, of the Junior Classical League”

As a heads up, many photos included in the scrapbook have been blurred in some places due to the photo permissions of individual students.

This has been one of the best years yet and our success exemplifies our growth as a chapter over these past few years!
