There lived a powerful sultan in the city of Mardin in Turkey. He has a very beautiful daughter. There was a shepherd who wanted the sultan's daughter. The shepherd and the girl loved each other very much. However, the sultan did not want to give his daughter to the shepherd. That's why he put his daughter in prison. One day, the sultan went out hunting alone. While hunting, he tripped on a rocky field and was about to fall off a cliff.

The shepherd, who was grazing the animals there, saw the sultan and immediately rushed to his aid. He took his hand and saved the sultan. Then the sultan said to the shepherd: Give me your due, I have prevented your love and union. I won't be a hindrance anymore and you can get married. The shepherd and the girl got married and led a happy life. The sultan continued his life as a good person.
