Great holiday for 4 of us and 2 dogs.

The boat was great, we had Robert and more importantly everything worked as it should. Boat was clean and comfortable. We spent 2 nights in the centre of Birmingham before going on and completing the Warwickshire Ring. The cost of fuel was included so the overall cost was comparable. For that we had a good 5 star boat. We met and saw lot of interesting things and people on our journey and had a fab holiday.

What a wonderful week it has been!

The staff was extremely accommodating and couldn’t be more helpful. The boat was well prepared for us and we had a very comfortable stay on ‘Robert’. We really lucked out with the weather and enjoyed the slow pace of the adventure..... a unique way to wind down and truly appreciate the beauty of the countryside. Highly recommended!!!

1st timers

This was our 1st time we had taken a narrow boat out. We throughly enjoyed our short break from Monday to Friday on Amy Clare weather was kind to us no rain. Kate Boats’ guys were very good with the instructions for the boat and the locks, ‘big Up’ for them. We would definitely do it again many thanks Kate’s boats.

Booked a weekend holiday for my husband’s 40th.

Our first kid-free vacation in 7 years. It was incredible! Colin at Kate Boats taught us everything we needed to know. They were EXTREMELY helpful as we planned our trip from the States, even ensuring our kitchen was stocked with the groceries we ordered. Hiring from Kate Boats was like renting a home on the canals. We recommend Kate Boats to anyone looking for a break from the norm.

Fabulous weekend break

On our arrival our boat Henry James was modern, spotlessly clean and ready to go. The quality of the boat far exceeded our expectations and had every mod con. Tuition was very good and clear but we then had a great deal lot to learn once we were left to our own devices. We would thoroughly recommend Kate Boats and the Grand Union Canal and look forward to our next trip.

Caroline Mary has a reverse layout. The open cruiser stern back deck leads down to a lounge area with seating on either side, which can be used for dining, then through to the galley, fully equipped, as you would expect. Next to the galley is a toilet, and a dinette, which can be left made up as a fixed double. There is then a shower room, and a fixed double at the front of the boat.

We’ve just had a brilliant week on Georgina cruising from the base at Warwick to Stratford on Avon The staff are really friendly and the boat was brilliant. Highly recommend this company and we will be using again.

Fantastic family holiday. The best boats we’ve come across yet. Perfectly located for adventures on the inland waterways. Lovely team of helpful and enthusiastic people. Loved being able to have our dog along with us too. Would love to suggest something to work on but I can’t think of anything. Highly recommended. Thank you!

We have rented from Kate Boats several times now and each time have had excellent service and a fully equipped and very comfortable boat. It is a great family holiday, the first time I took my 19 year old daughter she thought she would get bored but there’s always something to be doing, seeing, or just to simply relax and enjoy family games. Would highly recommend to all - young or old
