She remained there for 16 years before moving to Ralph Lauren as a design director.

Only after designing the gown for her own wedding in 1989, did Vera discover her love and natural talent for fashion & bridal design. The following year she opened her flagship store on Manhattan’s famed Madison Avenue, introducing the world to her contemporary designs and refined detailing.
