The Paraty House named by its location in Paraty , Brasil was designed by Studio Mk27, Architect Suzana Glogoski. The diagram indicates the basic structure which includes two concrete boxes , offsetted slightly , sitting atop the forest gentle enough not to disturb the landscape. The contemporary home includes open living areas with various sliding doors that allow the individual to trancend from interior to outdoor spaces with ease. The precedent study invesitgates organization of space through plans , site, diagram, and section highlighting strategic moves of connecting building with nature. This study translates in A Story of Mutants, Parasites, and Hybrids; specifically in the individual project of the Coastal Home where the client resides in an open living home to mimic transparency and his love for nature to mask his devious job occupation.

CLIENT : HACKER SECTION 1
The project follows a series of projects through costal, urban, and alpine landscapes to portray the narrative of a hacker who resides in an coastal home, works in confidentiality in the urban fabric of the city , and finally escapes to his alpine estate .

The coastal home progress began through the addition of a 9’ x 9’ cube which was later stretched and superimposed with other geometric cubes to create circulation volumes ,and private/public rooms. The elevated piloti columns put the structure on a plinth allowing the landscape to be minimally manipulated with. Open windows, patios/ observatories , and use of sliding doors , much like the Paraty House, allow for the home to feel open and connected to nature. It is in this location that the client portrays a facade of transprency ; while also participating in illegal activities in the private upper level- an architectural juxtaposition. The positive connotation of open and connectedness as design concepts , allow the client to reside in social camouflage.

CANTILEVER HOUSE - STEEL STUDY
The Cantillever House by Anderson Anderson Arch. is a fundamental precedent that sets up an analysis of how steel can function not only as a structural element, but rather explores how it can be celebrated and exposed in both interior and exterior settings to create different scenic experiences. This concept carries over to the Planet B- WAAG Musuem project that mimics this strategy of exposing steel in the exterior of the building , framing a vignette into the museum . It also showcases steel in the interior with an interplay between materiality and the spacial conditions it can create. It is celebrating the exposed steel to showcase its framing of multi-volumous biomes , aesthetic appeal in the residential wing’s canopy , and overall serves as a structural component in the construction setting.
PLANET B - WAAG MUSEUM IN AMSTERDAM
Planet B is an addition to the WAAG research facility in Amsterdam , now serving as a museum, research facility, and residential housing for staff in program. Using steel to maximize the circulation of the volumous biomes, The Planet B Musuem now mimcs the moments introduced by the Precedent of The Cantilever House in using materiality beyond secular purposes. Memorable moments include the use of steel to create habitable glass observatory decks in the forest biome.

WAAG ADDITION - METRO STATION
The renovation to the Amsterdam Metro station mimics the city’s use of alphabet X’s , derived from the city’s flag and former metro’s framework. In this renovation of the site, the X is shown in fragments as an abstration/omage to the original piece . It is also allowing for the steel skin to be used for the chaining of bicyles native to the city of Amsterdam.
