Free and Open to the Public Presenters: Patrick Wise & Melissa Grey Suicide consistently ranks as one of the top 10 causes of death in this country. The impact of suicide is felt across all groups in our diverse communities. Unfortunately, awareness of suicide risk factors and prevention strategies are not widely discussed especially as they relate to specific populations within our communities. This presentation will provide information on the scope of suicide, suicide risk factors, and suicide prevention strategies while discussing issues/concerns related to specific at-risk populations such as the LGBTQ community, college students, and veterans.
