Biography MARK B. FELDER Mark B. Felder is in his twenty-second year as director of the MCCC Band covering two tenures. He is the former Director of Bands at Jefferson High School. He has taught at The University of Toledo and currently teaches here at MCCC. He has been a guest lecturer at The University of Michigan, The University of Toledo, and Eastern Michigan University where he was the The EMU guest Alumni Director for 1988. Mark has a strong background in Musical Theater. While directing the second national tour of “Into The Woods”, Mark earned the “Orgie” award for best Chicago Musical Director and was nominated for the prestigious “Jeff” award for best musical director. Mark is an active musician and teacher in the Monroe and Toledo areas and performs regularly with the Johnny Knorr Orchestra. He also runs Vivo Productions, a Monroe recording studio.

DAVID TIPPETT David Tippett, a freelance artist and music consultant has performed with Jazz greats, Joe Williams, Bill Evans, Clark Terry, Zoot Simms, Ernie Watts, and Jiggs Whigham. He has toured with the Russ Morgan Orchestra, Columbia Artist Tours including; The Stars of Lawrence Welk, Andy Williams Christmas Tour, Four Lads, The Aces, Cordetts, and the Diamonds. He Played Lead Trumpet for the Buddy Rich Big band and has been a house musician for Norwegian, American Holland, Royal Viking, and Carnival Cruise Lines. Recently, he has been on tour with Frankie Vali, Temptations, and The Four Tops. Mr. Tippett is a widely respected Jazz Ensemble and Marching Band Clinician and adjudicator for numerous festivals throughout the U.S. He is currently the Music Specialist for the PLD High School from Lexington, KY and serves as a Teaching Artist for Aesthetic Education through Lincoln Center for the Arts in New York City. His involvement in the Pageantry Arts Activity has spanned over 30 years. Working with many groups through the years such as The Blue Stars, Star of Indiana, and Caption Head for The Glassmen (87-97), Carolina Crown, Garfield Cadets, and Capital Regiment. He has also served as the Director of the Toledo Jazz Orchestra and the assistant director of the University of Toledo Marching Band.

MAGGIE GAUTZ Maggie Gautz grew up in a musical family. She made her singing debut as a cantor in church and later sang for Team Fiddle. She studied voice with Dave Carducci here in Monroe and later with John Charles Pierce at the University of Michigan. Maggie graduated from the University of Michigan in 2010 with a B.A. in English and currently teaches at Meadow Montessori School. She has performed in numerous plays with the River Raisin Music Theater Company and Monroe Community Players, most notably Princess Winifred in the RRCA’s summer youth production of Once Upon a Mattress. She is very excited to don her tiara again for tonight’s performance now that she has been promoted to queen. She would like to thank her parents, Mark and Ann Felder, her husband Shaun, and her cat Mushroom for putting up with all of her practicing over the past few months.
