When it comes to setting standard, Drumma Boy takes the cake. This Memphis native was taught “The Game” at an early age. He used that knowledge to maneuver through the music industry ultimately becoming a trailblazer and building an empire. His discipline and incredible work ethic has afforded him the lifestyle that many of us only dream of. To reach this level of success, it takes continuous dedication to your craft and your brand.

The spark

Spark was inspired to leave his hometown in order to further enhance his career. He believes that being able to move around is vital to hustling in the music industry. It was in high school that Spark discovered his love for oral enhancements. He firmly believes in the saying “it takes money to make money” so he used his knowledge and skill as an Enhancement Specialist to generate an impressive income at an early age. Spark doesn’t like things to be forced. Instead of going into the studio to listen to a beat and write, he prefers to sit with the beat at home and write then go to the studio prepared to go straight into the booth.

Seeing the OGs in the “game” has greatly influenced the way he currently moves. This future CEO has been able to see the importance of having multiple streams of income. His family loves how my career is developing. “My mom can’t stay off of my facebook. She’s all in the comments… all down my page (laughs).” If Spark wasn’t an artist, he’s sure he’d be a full time Oral Enhancement Specialist. The world is closely watching the development of the young King known as SparkDawg. His enthusiasm, skill and raw talent are sure to yield much greatness for years to come.

Drumma Boy wanted a specific date for his brothers’ dedication album so he worked vigorously to ensure that everything was in place. He stresses the importance of relationships as well as being able to call on his network to ensure that this project would be completed effectively and efficiently. The super producer feels that being awarded 2 Grammys is comparable to having 2 championship rings. He truly enjoys being able to bless others. Seeing the youth, or “the future” as he likes to call it, gravitate towards the music he produces gives him “the best feeling in the world” Outside of work, Drumma Boy, a self proclaimed “Gamer” spends his downtime playing video games, basketball, andmost importantly spending time with those that are closest to him. His big brother heavily influenced and inspired him to be an entrepreneur by taking him to the studio and introducing him to the legendary producers at that time.

What intrigued him most about spark is he noticed Sparks grind and the way he hustles outside of being a talented artist. The CEO recalls his manager telling him,” All you’ve got to do is make is out of Memphis.” He emphasizes that it is not as easy as it sounds but he wasdetermined to succeed. He came to Atlanta with 1000.00 and through networking he was able to secure a place to live. The challenge would be generating enough income to continue to live there. At this point it was fight or flight. He ultimately sold some beats which allowed him to pay his rent and began to create the life he wanted. He feels that its all about the hustle. “In one way, one form or fashion, imma make it happen” he continues by saying, “It’s all about sacrifices. If you ain’t willing’ to put it all on the line… regardless of how much talent you’ve got, it’s just not gonna happen.”

Drum squad records is currently working on an album called “The collective” which features all of the Artist on Drumma’s label.” The true visionary he is, can already see the opportunities that will follow this project which was released on March 15th.
