We work with 3 printing processes:
• Flex print and digital print (for flexible packaging materials)
• Digital print (Cans and Advent Calendar)
• Offset print (Advent Calendar)
It shall be our decision exclusively whether and which product will be manufactured using the printing process.
For technical reasons, register differences cannot be avoided in the printing processes listed. With Flex print, register differences of up to 5/10 mm in the motif can arise. Please request the data sheets that correspond to our various products.
Over delivery and under delivery:
For technical reasons, over deliveries and under deliveries of up to 10 % of the total amount cannot always be avoided.
Colours:
We work with translucent colours among others. Translucent colours do not always cover a surface completely and often do not result in the desired colour unless a white base is applied beforehand.
Please list your colour requests in detail. We work with HKS or Pantone colours. We do not work with RAL colours. Colours very similar to RAL colours can be achieved (using Pantone or HKS). Colour templates in the form of letterhead, business cards, brochures, etc. only serve as a rough guide. The printing result can vary due to differences in the material. We will make efforts to achieve the desired colour tone. However, we cannot take responsibility for the result without a precise HKS or Pantone colour specification. Variance in nuances with the HKS or Pantone colours is no reason for return.
As mentioned above, we print with glazing inks in parts on transparent foils.
Please note that the print reproduction on paper packaging varies widely to the print reproduction on foils, due to the character of the uncoated paper.
Pantone colours are printed on paper packaging according Pantone Solid Uncoated.
Each motif and each product can and must be treated individually. It is not possible to account for every eventuality beforehand in writing. You will find basic information here and in our data sheets. However, we cannot assume unconditional responsibility for this information. An individual and specific telephone consultation, tailored to your product and motif is available through our specialists. For this purpose, we ask that you send us your desired print motif. Without a sample of the print motif, we cannot provide a consultation.
Please do not send us any films or manuscripts. We work exklusively with own films or manuscripts.
When sending digital information, we require a copy of the motif in the form of a colour sample. The colours should be colour-consistent if possible. It is not possible to print without a motif sample on paper and colour-consistent proofs.
Perishable foodstuffs:
We would like to point out that foodstuffs cannot be returned or exchanged. Inspect the goods immediately upon receiving them and notify us of complaints within 24 hours.
Returns sent later than this cannot be accepted. Once foodstuffs leave our premises, we no longer have control over them. Therefore, we can neither accept responsibility for quality nor for suitable treatment of the food in this regard.
Damages:
Delivery damages must be noted on the consignment form and acknowledged by the forwarding agent. Damages to pallets, which are not noted on the consignment form, cannot be claimed as delivery damages. Upon delivery, be sure to check for a clean and orderly application of shipping straps and foil packaging. Irregularities must be noted and photographed immediately.
Delivery dates:
Apply to date of shipment within and/or on a delivery week and/or day, respectively and never to the actual date of delivery.
Delivery dates can neither be confirmed nor are they to be considered binding. We work with forwarding agents of our choosing. However, upon transfer of goods we cannot be made accountable. You may designate your own forwarding agent or courier, if desired.
Fixed delivery dates will not be confirmed and no responsibility will be assumed for fixed delivery dates that are not met by the forwarding company.
Important information
Delivery dates shall apply after an approval for printing is received, not upon receipt of the first proof. Without an approval, printing will not begin. Without an approval, no delivery date can be confirmed. A correction in a proof print that we create for you is not considered an approval for printing. Your correction will be re-worked and you will receive a new proof for inspection and approval.
Corrections:
Please read the text in our proof prints carefully. If you have problems understanding any part of a proof, call us. We will be happy to assist you. We do not assume responsibility for approved prints or for errors of any sort that you may have overlooked. An approval from you is considered an unlimited and irrevocable part of a work order.
All preparatory work performed by us up to the approval will be invoiced, even in the event that the work order is cancelled.
For unaltered reprints, you will also receive proof prints with a request for inspection and approval. Colour deviations within an unaltered reprint are technical in nature and cannot be avoided. Colour deviations in nuances shall not be accepted as grounds for returns.
It is also possible to receive design recommendations from us. You can receive pricing information upon request once you have stated the amount and type of work to be done.
Original press proofs are available, yet they will be billed individually depending on the motif. Please keep in mind that a proof run delays the delivery by 5 working days. An additional proof run delays the delivery by another 5 working days, and so on.
Returns must be documented. At least 10 % of a total amount must be returned as an originally packaged unit as evidence. A return involving printing must also affect at least 10 % of the total amount and be documented.
Returns regarding taste and appearance of foodstuffs can only be accepted when the products were stored and treated in manner suitable for foodstuffs. You can request information regarding expiration dates and other important details at any time. For example, never store chocolate products above room temperature. Fruit gum products are sensitive to heat and moisture.
Some of our products are packaged according to weight and some according to amount. Deviations in the amount per covering box vary according to machine and product. The total end amount is checked and documented. If deviations occur per packaging unit, please check the total end amount.
Our team is available to answer all of your questions. Our staff can competently answer any questions you might have regarding our products, prints, digital storage media, and pricing.
However, we do ask that you remain patient should short waiting periods arise. It is important to us to take the time to serve all of our customers and to fulfil requests to your complete satisfaction.
For the security of both parties and to avoid communications problems, please ask for written confirmation of pricing, delivery times, and technical guidelines, etc.
We offer datasheets in our catalogue which list further information for each product. Questions regarding these datasheets may also arise. Please contact us to receive more information. Please consider the following points
Stand sketch
You can download our stand sketches as PDF files directly from our website for the respective item or in the marketing service area. On request, we will also be happy to provide you with the stand sketch as an EPS file. Please use this outline to create your individual motif.
Mandatory text
Manufacturer/distributor, best-before date (BBD) and list of ingredients are mandatory texts that we insert in our house font in the blue-bordered area of the layout sketch. When printing in this area, the legibility of the mandatory text must be maintained. Therefore, this area is either softened and all mandatory information is printed in black, or the manufacturer/distributor and content information are printed in a logo or motif colour. This depends on the selected product and is at our discretion.
The best-before date and lot number, as well as a QR code if applicable, are usually printed on the back of the product on the day of production.
For tins, the mandatory text is printed on the bottom of the tin.
We are not permitted to provide you with the declaration texts; we will insert these for you.
We reserve the right to make production-specific adjustments.
Images
The images used in your data (colour and greyscale) must have a resolution of at least 300 dpi (in CMYK). Bitmaps (line art) must have a resolution of at least 1200 dpi – however, a vector file is preferable for line art. Embedded images cannot be edited, so please send the original image files. Converting data that does not meet the above specifications will incur additional costs.
Fonts
The minimum legible font size is 6 pt for positive printing and 8 pt for negative printing – this always depends on the font selected, of course. Please convert all fonts to paths (vectorise).
Positioning
To ensure your advertisement looks its best, relevant parts of your motif (text and logos) should not be placed right at the edge of the format – please note the ‘optimal print area’ indicated in the stand sketch.
Control mark
If a control mark is shown on the product sketch, this is essential for the manufacture of the item and may be visible on the reverse side.
Embossment
Raised lines must be at least 0.2 mm thick. The distance or recess between two lines/elements must be at least 0.3 mm. The minimum line thickness also applies to fonts. The motif must not contain small, fine fonts and must not be rasterised.
Customised chocolate bars
The motif must not contain small, delicate lettering or intricate graphic elements, and must not be halftoned. Our team will be happy to check the feasibility of your chocolate motif requests or suggest alternatives.
Digital data and data delivery
Send your digital data with colour specifications according to Pantone or HKS, or for prints from Euroscala (CMYK) with a colour-accurate printout/proof by email or link (e.g. WeTransfer) directly to your order processor. We will check and prepare your data for the appropriate printing process. We process the following data: Illustrator, InDesign, PhotoShop (for image data only) as well as PDF and EPS.
Digital data ONLINE articles
Upload your data directly to the online editor. We always print in CMYK colour mode and do not make any colour corrections or other adjustments to the data you supply.
