The Opportunity KARA is seeking a creative, resourceful Digital Storytelling Creator to turn early-stage ideas into clear, engaging content that helps families, donors, volunteers, partners, and community members understand KARA’s work and impact. This role brings social media, brand stewardship, and storytelling together across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube. The Creator will work closely with KARA staff to identify stories, gather accurate information, develop content, and maintain a consistent, welcoming public presence. Regular communication is expected, with an in-person check-in at KARA approximately every two weeks preferred.
What You’ll Create and Contribute Develop content from initial or “skeleton” ideas, moving concepts through planning, production, review, and publication. • Create platform-appropriate written, graphic, photo, and short-form video content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube. • Build a balanced content calendar that moves KARA beyond an announcement-only feed and toward repeatable, human stories of impact. • Interview and collaborate with staff, volunteers, partners, and—where appropriate and fully consented— program participants to identify meaningful stories. • Use KARA’s brand guide and style guide to strengthen consistency, recognition, and quality across platforms. • Draft, review, schedule, and monitor content; respond or route questions according to KARA’s engagement and privacy practices. • Track basic performance indicators and use results to improve topics, formats, timing, and calls to action. •
