KAPPA ALPHA ORDER EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION
B4B HISTORY The Kappa Alpha Order Educational Foundation’s Bid for Brotherhood® (B4B) began in 1998 in Kansas City, Missouri. Started by then Knight Commander James R. Estes, B4B serves to combine an alumni event with a meaningful fundraising activity to provide additional grant support for KA’s valuable leadership education programs. By providing a grant to the Order annually, the costs associated with providing outstanding educational opportunities are minimal to our undergraduate members. The eventual goal is to have all programs available to every undergraduate KA at zero cost to them. Through 2025, the income raised from B4B events has totaled more than $2.3 million. Each year continues to grow, and we hope that this 29th annual B4B, held at The Mission Hills Country Club, will be our best yet! Earlier this year, the KAOEF Board of Trustees voted to rename Bid for Brotherhood® in honor of Estes’ vision and leadership in founding this incredibly successful annual event.

Shaping our Future - KAOEF’s Fund of Need As we celebrate our Order, we also recognize the accomplishments of our undergraduate brothers of Kappa Alpha Order. This success is attributable to the strong leadership within our chapters. The training KA provides for chapter officers and leaders at values-based leadership conferences, such as our Officer Training Conferences (OTC) and our flagship event, the Number I’s Leadership Institute (NLI), are top-shelf and best-in-class education. Each of these programs instills KA’s values and aids in the further development of our undergraduate brothers, as well as strengthening our chapters.
KA remains committed to excellence and with your support we will continue to achieve new heights and retain our position of excellence in the Greek world. . 8:15–9:00pm
