Now You See it...Now You Don’t Mystery Theater Mark your calendars for an exciting Mystery Theater performance at 6:30 p.m., November 9, at The Laureate Center, Kannapolis City Hall. Who is the Carat Caper, and who will solve the crime to make this night of mystery the night of beauty it was intended to be? It will be an evening of high fashion and suspenseful mystery, with one thrilling conclusion. The museum proprietor is ready to unveil the prized display of the evening, the Stomach of the Ocean Diamond, only to find it has been stolen while the crowd mingled in ignorant bliss. It will be up to you – our guests – and the detective to find the thief and restore the diamond to its rightful place to get the unveiling back on track!
Kaleidoscope Arts & Ag Festival

All other yard debris must be bagged and placed far away enough from the loose leaves and/or carts so everything can be picked up with the proper equipment.
The Kaleidoscope Arts & Ag Festival returns, 12-4 p.m., Saturday, November 3, with new activities. The free event will be held at the NCRC on Research Campus Drive.
Yard waste should be bagged all year, with the exception of bushes and limbs and, of course, loose leaves during the loose leaf collection season. Leaves in garbage or recycling containers will not be collected. Leaves must not be placed near water meters and fences. Please place them on the street side of retaining walls.
Tickets are $18/person in advance, and $25/person at the door. The show is family friendly, and recommended for children ages five and older. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Please remember, leaves often make their way to storm drains. Check the drains in your neighborhood, and help the City keep them clean by unclogging them from leaves and litter to prevent flooding.
Tickets can be purchased online at kannapolisnc.gov, by calling 704-920-4343, or in person at City Hall in the Parks and Recreation Department.

We welcome Amazon to the City of Kannapolis. Amazon has opened its new fulfillment facility at 6501 Macedonia Church Road. The $85-million, one million-square-foot industrial building will eventually employ more than 1,000 people.
As part of the Rowan Arts & Ag series, the event will feature the Salisbury Symphony and local artisans such as painters, jewelry makers, and woodcarvers. We will celebrate the rich culture of agriculture with local breweries, wineries and goods from local farmers. There will be lots of fun for the entire family such as stilt walkers, bubble and balloon artists and more. You can perform with The Flow Circus. The circus will have their interactive play station with skill toys from around the world, such as flower sticks, Japanese kendama, spining plates, yo-yos, tops, hand sacks, juggling toys and more. For questions and vendor information, please visit kannapolisnc.gov or call 704-920-4343.
