ELECTROMYOGRAPHY MACHINE Donated by the ICCHA/Wish Fund Helps with pain and weakness
The evaluation of patients with neurologic disease and injury is a common need. There are so many important diseases to recognize, treat and manage such as Guillain Barre Disease, Amphotropic Lateral Sclerosis, and Peripheral Neuropathy. As a Level 2 Trauma Centre Royal Inland Hospital must also be prepared to evaluate patient who have suffered nerve injuries in the arms and legs – the brachia plexus and lumbar plexus. The donated electromyography (EMG) equipment is heavily used by the Neurophysiology lab to support the hospital in the diagnosis and management of these patients.

DR. SHRAVAN NOSIB
Dr. Shravan Nosib obtained his MD from Benares Hindu University, India in Feb 1991.Therafter he trained as a British council fellow at the University of Glasgow, Uk. He has furthered his training in internal medicine and cardiology at the University of Saskatchewan and has subspecialty training in lnterventional cardiology at the University of Montreal. He works at the Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon since 2009 and is a locum consultant at the RIH since 2013. His field of interest is coronary artery stenting and valvular interventions.
