Building the Future
Our master plan reflects extensive and thoughtful study and deliberation about how our campus can best serve our students now and in the decades ahead. A Vision for HPA introduces three major projects that together will enhance the exceptional learning environment at High Point well into the future. These projects will unfold in phases over time, allowing our community to build thoughtfully while maintaining the spirit and character that define our school.
A VISION FOR COMMUNITY
A dedicated Multipurpose Gymnasium will provide a dynamic home for athletics, school-wide gatherings, and the performing arts.
This flexible space will host athletic practices and competitions, school assemblies and community events, theater and musical performances, 8th grade graduation, and other milestone celebrations. More than a gymnasium, this facility will become a central hub of campus life — a place where the entire community comes together to celebrate achievement, creativity, and school spirit.

A VISION FOR SYNERGY
As High Point students grow, their learning environments must evolve with them.
A new Upper Grade Classroom Building will bring our older students together in a dedicated area of campus designed specifically for the academic, social, and developmental needs of these learners.
Purposefully designed classrooms will support advanced coursework, collaboration, and deeper exploration of concepts. In this environment, students will have the opportunity to take greater ownership of their learning while building the confidence and critical thinking skills that will guide them in the years ahead.

Our youngest learners thrive in environments designed specifically for exploration, collaboration, and joyful discovery.
A second-story addition to the Kindergarten building will create new space for classrooms, enhancing the daily experience of our youngest students. By investing in these spaces, we strengthen the foundation of the High Point journey — the earliest years when curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning take root.
Since its founding in 1965, High Point Academy has been a place where curiosity is nurtured, character is shaped, and young people discover the joy of learning. What began as a bold vision from a small group of parents has grown into a vibrant school community that has guided generations of students toward lives of purpose, integrity, and leadership.
Today, more than six decades later, we stand at another pivotal moment in High Point’s story.
As our school has grown and evolved, so too have the opportunities before us. Guided by our mission and inspired by the needs of our students, faculty, and families, we are excited to introduce A Vision for HPA — a long-term plan to thoughtfully expand our campus and strengthen the educational experience for generations to come.
This vision is about more than buildings. It is about creating spaces where students can explore, collaborate, and more fully realize their potential.
