This is KAISSU*. Creator of beautiful beds. And this is KAISSU’s first collection “Tuul”, created 2017. In this collection you find unique combination of products for bedroom and children’s room. Furniture line is supported by textiles and deco accessories. All inspired by our own character, home and land – Estonian colours of nature, lights and crispiness. Main focus in the collection are beds which unique look has dictated the esthetics of the rest of the collection: simple and clear forms meet playfulness in nuances; slightly curved lines and unexpected proportions here and there. Functionality and durability are two key factors that matter. Monolithic bedframe panels (they don’t have separate legs) and material (birch plywood) offer stability for the furniture; oil wax finish gives an opportunity to freshen up the furniture after years-long use. Children’s products are designed carefully considering the safety; almost every product has an option to upgrade with add-ons. Final products are based on actual feedback from usage by children. Deco accessories (trays, candle holders, mirrors etc.) are designed and produced from leftover materials from the main production – to minimize the amount of the final production waste. In KAISSU we see ourselves trendy but still value traditions. Sometimes we are a bit stubborn, specially when it comes to believing that we have something special to say with our designs for such an old piece of furniture as bed is. You decide. Let us know. We’re just getting started and a lot more is yet to come. Helen Leetsar Designer, founder
* Kaissu is a lovely estonian word which means to cuddle, nestle, snuggle up.
