My mother has always been a fan of impressing people through cooking and baking, just never the type to spend a lot of time doing one thing. Many of the recipes in this book of hers are some of the most simple and quickest to make. While she cuts corners with baking much of the time, her decorating skills are where she shines. Since my first birthday, she would buy me specially shaped tins and decorate them with different frosting colors and a star piping tip. While she may not be the most extravagant baker, she puts her heart into everything she bakes or cooks for her loved ones

I, Kaeli Brady, have been interested in cooking and baking since childhood when I would help my Grandma bake for the holidays. Since then, I have been enamored by baking shows, food magazines, and cookbooks, as well as trying recipes from all three. Many of my friends and family know me as the type to bake cakes or cookies for gatherings or bake just for fun and share it with people. While I am constantly trying new recipes, I always have the classic recipes my family has handed down to me to bake and reminisce old times.

Learn about our favorite desserts, what we would cook them for, and how to make them yourself. You’ll find the recipes in this book being simple, easy, and delicious to make. This book has recipes for chocolate lovers, cookie lovers, cheesecake lovers, and more! Who knows, maybe these family recipes will one day be a part of yours!

Kaeli Brady is a graduating senior at William Paterson University with a BFA in Graphic Design. Kaeli has always been interested in publication design, specifically layouts revolving around food. Her first book and senior thesis project, Made With Love, highlights her love of baking, illustration, and layout design. In the future, Kaeli would love to work more with editorial design and dreams to one day work at magazines like Bon Appétit, Taste of Home, or Women’s Day. Until then, Kaeli spends most of her days’ painting and hanging out with her two cats, Sirius and Harry.
