SITE FURNITURE
2022
Initially an Orientation Design Day activity, this project gave students a chance to work as a team in creating a functional piece of furniture using cardboard, tape and rope. Our furniture recieved the ‘Most Ingenious’ award out of the 25 competing groups, so we decided to utilize it as the basis of our site furniture studio project.

This lawn chair was designed to be used on the courtyard situated in the middle of multiple lecture buildings. Given its purpose as an outdoor furniture, our group focused on the potential environmental and assessibility issues, as well as the choice of materials most suitable for all-season outdoor use.
