COWS DO NOT GIVE MILK! A peasant used to say to his children when they were kids: —When they are 12 years old, I will tell them the secret of life. When the oldest was 12 years old, he anxiously asked his father what the secret of life was. The father replied that he was going to tell her, but that he should not reveal it to his siblings. —The secret of life is this: The cow does not give milk. “What are you saying?” Asked the boy incredulously. —As you hear it, son: The cow does not give milk, you have to milk it. You have to get up at 4 in the morning, go to the field, walk through the corral full of excrement, tie the tail and legs of the cow, sit on the bench, place the bucket and do the appropriate movements. That is the secret of life, the cow does not give milk. You milk her or you don’t have milk. There is a generation that thinks that cows GIVE milk. That things are automatic and free: I wish, I ask, and I obtain. “There are those who think that cows give milk.” That things are automatic and free. No, life is not a matter of wishing, asking and obtaining. The things that one receives are the effort of what one does. Happiness is the result of effort. Lack of effort creates frustration. So, remember to share with your children, from a young age, this secret of life. So they don’t believe that the government, or their parents, or their cute little faces are going to give them everything like a dairy cow. NOT. “Cows don’t give milk. You have to work for it”

LAS VACAS NO DAN LECHE Un campesino acostumbraba a decirles a sus hijos cuando eran niños: —Cuando tengan 12 años les contaré el secreto de la vida. Cuando el más grande cumplió los 12 años, le preguntó ansiosamente a su padre cuál era el secreto de la vida. El padre le respondió que se lo iba a decir, pero que no debía revelárselo a sus hermanos. —El secreto de la vida es este: La vaca no da leche. —¿Qué dices?, preguntó incrédulo el muchacho. —Tal cual lo escuchas, hijo: La vaca no da leche, hay que ordeñarla. Tienes que levantarte a las 4 de la mañana, ir al campo, caminar por el corral lleno de excremento, atar la cola y las patas de la vaca, sentarte en el banquito, colocar el balde y hacer los movimientos adecuados. Ese es el secreto de la vida, la vaca no da leche. La ordeñas o no tienes leche. Hay una generación que piensa que las vacas DAN leche. Que las cosas son automáticas y gratis: deseo, pido, y obtengo. “Hay quienes piensan que las vacas dan la leche”. Que las cosas son automáticas y gratuitas. No, la vida no es cuestión de desear, pedir y obtener. Las cosas que uno recibe son el esfuerzo de lo que uno hace. La felicidad es el resultado del esfuerzo. La ausencia de esfuerzo genera frustración. Así que, recuerden compartir con sus hijos, desde pequeños, este secreto de la vida. Para que no crean que el gobierno, o sus padres, o sus lindas caritas van a darles todo cual vaca lechera. NO. “Las vacas no dan leche. Hay que trabajar por ella”

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Idaho has 616,889 fully vaccinated people. That’s just 34 percent of the state’s population. That percentage put Idaho near dead last in a list of states ranked by percentage of the population fully vaccinated. According to Becker’s Hospital Review, only six states are behind Idaho: Wyoming, Tennessee, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, and Mississippi. Becker’s Hospital Review uses the CDC’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution and administration data tracker to rank each state. Mississippi has just 27.95 percent of its population fully vaccinated, while Vermont has the highest percentage at 59.46 percent. The top five states with the highest percentage of people vaccinated are: Vermont - 59.46% Massachusetts - 56.81% Maine - 56.79% Connecticut - 55.73% Rhode Island - 53.79% Seattle recently became the first major U.S. city to reach 70 percent fully vaccinated. Washington State ranked 10th on the list with 48.96 percent of its population vaccinated.
