La Historia De Angel
Soy originario de Yahualica, Jalisco Mexico,vine con mi familia cuando tenía pocos años y llegamos a los Estados Unidos, asistí a las escuelas de San Fernando Valley, CA. A los 14 años dejé de estudiar para poder trabajar y apoyar a mis padres y hermanos, siendo yo el hermano mayor. Me fui a trabajar con mis primos, a probar suerte, que fue un poco dificil pero al final todo salió muy bien. Trabajamos para muchas compañías de construcción, las cuales nos dieron la oportunidad de demostrarles nuestra experiencia y dedicación. Ya han pasado 10 años y con mi familia ya somos dueños de nuestra propia compañía de construcción, la cual ha prosperado y construimos casa completas, oficinas para negocios personales o comerciales y por supuesto hacemos renovaciones. Hacemos trabajos personales a precios razonables y al alcance de su bolsillo. Mandamos un saludo de agradecimiento a todas las personas que han solicitado nuestros servicios. Para nosotros, todos han sido un apoyo para que nuestra compañía sea reconocida y siga creciendo. La vida no es fácil y siempre requiere de mucho esfuerzo y lucha. Siempre habrá trabas para que uno las pueda superar y que sean de escalera para seguir subiendo, nunca darse por vencido ya que los problemas personales pasan y uno tiene que luchar y llevar una meta que sea la mejor para progresar. Todas las decisiones que he tomado en mi vida siempre han sido con el fin de salir adelante, manteniendo en mente que yo soy el único que va a responder por mis actos. Angel’s Story “My name is Angel Lopez and I came from Yahualica, Jalisco (Mexico). I came with my parents and my brothers. As a young boy, I attended an elementary school in San Fernando Valley, CA. When I turned 14, I returned to Mexico where I worked as a builder for some construction companies. Construction in Mexico is not like in the USA, In Mexico, we used rocks and other raw materials and most of the construction is made by hand. It is very hard work. I learned many good things in Mexico by building homes and working for the city, working on highways using heavy machinery. I returned to the United States and started working in restaurants, supermarkets and I even sold hot dogs in the street at one point. However, my love for construction took me to work with Merrill Lynch, Verizon, University of S. California, and Capitol Records. These are some of the building projects that I worked on. I worked with my family and, together, we made good contacts that gave us the opportunity to build our company in order to make our wishes come true, We prospered economically and we grew in experience. In 2008, we decided to move to Idaho. By the age of 20, I made my own company, and also made great changes here. I worked with construction companies such as TKO, Steven Miller, Josh Ruf, James Ray, Wills Inc. and many more that gave us the opportunity to grow and get our name out there. I feel grateful for everything because I know that is not easy to start a business especially being new to the area. I have never given up and, for that, I think my decisions have given me the opportunity to grow here in Idaho. I have been here 10 years now offering construction and renovation of homes and buildings, both personal and commercial. I am going to take this time to thank all the people that gave us their business to fix, create and participate in their home. I would like to thank the Realty companies and the financial institutions that have supported Angel’s 1-Pro Construction. For this, I tell you that, no matter what life is giving you, don’t give up and make decisions that will give you a better life for you and your family. La Historia de Jessica Rodriguez Nací en Santa Barbara, CA, me gradué en la Escuela de Santa Bárbara, mi mamá es de Michoacan, Mexico y mi papá es de Guerrero, México. Tengo 2 hermanos y 1 hermana, trabajo en Fred Meyer desde hace un poco más de un año, desde que nos vinimos de California, en Agosto. Muchos Latinx vienen aquí y puedo asistirlos cuando necesitan alguien que hable español y ofrecerles mejor servicio. Mis compañeros de trabajo me tratan con respeto e igualdad, están a gusto de que yo pueda servir a nuestros clientes. Es un orgullo poder hablar español y ser Latinx. Estoy muy contenta de trabajar en Fred Meyer y de poder ayudar a nuestra comunidad Latinx. A mis 28 añitos tengo la oportunidad de trabajar con una gran diversidad de personas, trataré de elevar mi posición en el futuro y seguir trabajando en Fred Meyer y vivir en Twin Falls. Jessica Rodriguez’s Story I was born in Santa Barbara, CA. I graduated from Santa Barbara High School, my mother is from Michoacan, Mexico and my father is from Guerrero, Mexico. I have 2 brothers and 1 sister. I have been working for Fred Meyer for a little over a year, since I moved here last August. I have been seeing more and more Latinx come in and I am able to assist when they request Spanish speaking help and being able to provide customer service to them as well. My coworkers treat me the same as anyone else does, just happy that there is someone to help . I would say I do feel special knowing 2 languages I’m proud to be a Latinx. It’s a great place to work by helping people in our community that are from different backgrounds,Being one of the few to be able to do so is a great feeling. Fred Meyer has diversity in its stores and it is great. I am a 28 years old Latinx, I hope to move up with the company in the near future and be able to help more people in my career here in the store and live in Twin Falls. 24
