HOW WOULD YOU SUM UP YOUR STYLE?

My style is definitely comfortable, colourful, eclectic, elegant, and refined, and definitely unique. Kabana inspires all of these and more.

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT WEARING KABANA?

I love how Kabana is a fashion brand of life and colour. I’m a big lady, and I’m always thankful for how inclusive your collections are for larger women it’s wonderful when people stop me in the supermarket or at the schoolyard to compliment my outfit. I recently went to a department store and looked across the big girls’ department at a sea of uninspired dullness!

HOW DOES WEARING KABANA FASHION INFLUENCE YOUR MOOD OR CONFIDENCE THROUGHOUT YOUR DAY?

When I decide what to wear, I know I need an outfit that can take me anywhere. I typically have an art class, a walk, lunch with friends, or picking up my grandchildren from school. I also help get dinner ready for when their parents get home. I need to be able to move. When you love what you wear, you feel confident. I recently joined a social group, and we go out to dinner, the theatre, and even karaoke or live bands.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE WAYS TO STYLE KABANA PIECES?

One thing I love about Kabana is how I can mix prints according to my mood. I enjoy combining patterns, like stripes, or when I’m feeling more conservative, I opt for solid colours.

DO YOU HAVE A FAVOURITE KABANA BRAND OR COLLECTION THAT YOU GET DRAWN TO, TIME AND TIME AGAIN?

I really love Rubyyaya. The colours and styles skim my body without adding bulk, making me feel elegant and vivacious. One of my favourite outfits is a Rubyyaya piece I purchased when I first discovered Kabana. It’s beautiful and flattering, made of pure cotton, and the colour is as vibrant as the day I bought it. I’ve worn it to upmarket restaurants, parties, and even a swish garden party. I’m lucky to have quite a few go-to pieces.

IF YOU COULD ONLY RECOMMEND ONE KABANA PIECE TO A FRIEND, WHICH WOULD IT BE AND WHY?

I would strongly recommend Kabana’s dresses, as well as the pants and flowy tops. They feel fabulous.
