There are days when I look forward to putting on one of our latest designs and giving it a personal touch with a piece of jewellery or beaded scarf that I have gathered on overseas trips. Then there are days when I want my outfit to be the backdrop as I run around the warehouse and reach for my Norma jeans and one of our plain t shirts or logo sweaters. That is the amazing thing with fashion: it is a fun way to express yourself, your mood and your individuality!

My father once told me, "success is never owned, it is rented and the rent is due every day!" I truly enjoy what I do and my family and work colleagues keep me motivated I try to take a moment each day and reflect on my life. There is always something to be grateful for and acknowledging that each day is energising in itself
I consider myself very blessed as throughout my entire career, I have been surrounded by passionate, strong women that have inspired me Fashion is an industry where women are often the leaders. In the 80's and 90's when I was a textile agent I worked with and was inspired by some of the most creative designers and artists These women were "old school", they did not rely on social media, the internet or overseas soirees for their inspiration, their creativity came from within They were true creatives.
445am: all doubts are forgotten as I meet my inspiring running partner and we discuss politics, lament the rapid changes in our world but mostly laugh as we run 6am: each day is unpredictable, throws challenges and pleasant surprises The day is filled with meetings with our marketing team, brand strategists, our operations team and most importantly my boss and husband. He has been designing and manufacturing for 35 years and is a wealth of knowledge and pulls me back to reality if I push the boundaries too far!!

(Laughs) The morning and evening routine are regimented but the day always goes on unpredicatable tangents!
3am wake My favourite time of day In the stillness of dark I mentally work through my to do list for the business and my family. I mentally solve problems, reflect on my designs and what I could do to enhance the season’s story I’m sure my overseas suppliers and work colleagues roll their eyes when they open their emails to find all my queries and requests.
420am: my feet hit the floor, I stretch and wonder how much longer my body is going to allow me to keep running and when my brain is going to register that this is way to early to be vertical!

830pm: camomile tea and lights out Silent prayer of gratitude and blessings for my life that has been filled with happiness and challenges but knowing I can face them all.

Friday night dinners with my family sitting out on a bench overlooking a park at our local Italian restaurant.
6pm: thankfully my husband and 5 children enjoy cooking. This was not a talent I was blessed with and I can’t remember the last time I got a 100% approval rating on an evening meal. Actually, on my 54th birthday last week, they all had a turn on saying "what they liked about me". 3/5 of them complimented me but did mention my questionable cooking skills! Breakfast and lunch I can manage but by the end of the day motivation for creativity for the evening meal always evades me

1 teaspoon baking soda ½t easpoon salt 30g butter, at room temperature
Step 1
I
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 190 degrees Spray, oil or line a cookie sheet with nonstick liner and set aside. Roll dough into balls. (For a precise number of cookies, divide the dough into 5 pieces, and shape each piece into 12 balls.)
Step 2
½ cup smooth peanut butter (or other creamy nut butter) ½ cup sugar, plus more for rolling
1 large egg 1 tablespoon milk
5 dozen large chocolate chips N G R E : M E T H O D :
1¾ cups all purpose flour
D I E N T S
½ cup light brown sugar
Step 3 Roll cookies in sugar and place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet Bake until very light brown and puffed, 6 to 8 minutes. Remove sheet from oven and lightly press a chocolate circle into centre of each cookie, allowing it to crack slightly Return to oven until light golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from oven, cool completely and store in an airtight container.
Sift together flour, baking soda and salt; set aside. Using an electric mixer, cream together butter, peanut butter, ½ cup sugar and light brown sugar. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat until well blended Gradually add flour mixture, mixing thoroughly. If the dough is very soft, refrigerate for about 1 hour.
