WHAT WAS YOUR MAIN MOTIVATION BEHIND STARTING PINEAPPLE VILLA TOURS?
I love travelling and shopping - discovering things you cannot buy here , hand made and artisan items are a favourite. Love boutique or unusual hotels with great interiors. I wondered if other women liked doing the same thing and discovered that they did ! My business has organically grown into a wonderful group of women, several of whom have been on 3 tours or more.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR MOST REWARDING TRAVEL STORY?
I would have to say the beautiful friendships that have evolved over my tours. Complete strangers (often women who have come alone) have found the most wonderful friends and stayed in touch always. I have also found some very like minded and best ever friends that were once strangers to me via the tours.
IF YOU COULD ONLY TAKE ONE ITEM ON A TRIP, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
It would have to be a bottle of pro-biotics ! I swear by these things for not upsetting your tummy on tour. That and travel cells - they are brilliant to help with packing.
WHAT COUNTRY IS STILL ON YOUR BUCKET LIST?
It is hard to choose just one - so I am going to pick two - they are Japan and Vietnam
WHAT'S YOUR BEST TRAVEL TIP?
My tip is to pack and then halve what you have packed - to leave room for all that shopping. Or pack a suitcase inside a suitcase. Having said this I am a chronic over packer!

Tried and tested, this dish is a Kabana team favourite.
This recipe contains spices rich in antioxidants that reduce inflammation and improve immunity.
INGREDIENTS
2 brown onions, diced
1 pork shoulder [around 2kg with bone in]
2 tablespoons of paprika
2 tablespoons of cumin
Chilli flakes to taste
1 tablespoon of mustard powder
6 cloves of garlic
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
2 litres bone broth
2 cups of water
Large pinch of salt
Place onions into the bottom of the slow cooker
Place pork shoulder on top
Cover the pork in the remaining ingredients
Place lid on and cook for 8 hours on high
Serve with steamed greens or salad.
