MEET THE DEGRAFTS

Diane and Chad DeGraft are a busy couple with a love for travel and culture that is almost as strong as their love for their beloved and elegant dog - Willow. Chad is a luxury travel consultant with clients worldwide while Diane is an international f a s h i o n b u y e r a n d b o u t i q u e c u r a t o r. I n t h e i r d o w n t i m e - t h e y l o v e t o t r a v e l , b u t e n v i s i o n themseleves a home away from home in one of their favorite places - Ireland. Choosing Cliffs of Moher for its beautiful sights, its a popular tourist location they would love to have as their own escape. While this couple enjoys their alone time, the y have a (not large) but very close-knit family, hosting m a n y r e u n i o n s e a c h y e a r. T h i s r e q u i r e s t h i s s p a c e t o h a v e a m i n i m u m o f 2 b e d r o o m s i n c a s e o f overnight guests, as well as plenty seating for everyone to relax. Some hobbies of this couple include enjoying and playing into the relaxing sounds of a piano, various genres of book collecting, and capturing famous moments of their only fur-baby.

Creating a sense of warmth and welcoming through the traditional and moody ambiance of a cottage aesthetic, while simultaneously emulsing in modern and light touches throughout the home that displays the perfect blend of vintage comfort. Rooted in the spirit of traditional Irish cottages, this design blends timeworn textures, muted tones, and classic craftsmanship with soft modern luxuries. The space should evoke a sense of quiet nostalgia while embracing natural light, tactile simplicity, and refined materials.
