Service Dollars Hard at Work: EASYProcess Updates There have been 3 major enhancements to EASYProcess the last year.

Updated EASYProcess Manuals: One of the most frequent suggestions we got is for more product documentation—and we listened! The documents are online so they can be updated regularly, unlike sent PDFs. It also features search capabilities, breadcrumbs, and drill downs for easier navigation. We will be able to share links within a few months as there’s a lot to cover.

Multiple changes can be tied to a project: Now when you work on several webparts, you can tie them all together with a single project, similar to JD Edwards Object Management Workbench. When you promote between environments, you will promote entire projects all at once, instead of each individual webpart. This makes organizing your changes easier, and there’s less work to keep track of them all.

AWS Cloud to JDE—EASYCloud Connector (ECC): Stringent Security & Compliance Regulations requires modern & innovative Wide Area Networking solutions. Many companies are no longer allowing VPN connections. New requirements dictate no open ports or inbound data (outbound only). Advancements like our EASYCloud Connector address these concerns.

ECC is a client self-service installed Java server using https as the transport layer and utilizing WebSocket technology. Clients have full control over user/password credentials. ECC addresses every integration aspect; JDE MBFN, Parametrized File/Table Access, Payment Gateways, Other Servers, Databases, etc.

Service Dollars Hard at Work: EASYPay Updates There have been several functionality additions to EASYPay, but ultimately, they all lead to better PCI security. We have new batch processes that allows customers to directly input credit card data, even if they’re paying over the phone.

New EASYPay v4.8.12 functionality:  Credit Unworthy Accounts you can also configure a “sale” (authorize & settlement) transaction vs. just authorization. With this setting, EASYPay creates an RU at order create (you receive funds upfront). After invoice/update, the RU is automatically applied against the invoice number.  Improved Card Decline Workflow Automation for: (1) settling after authorization (2) entering new payment profile or (3) cancelling their order.  Unapplied Cash Workflow: An example use case would be needing payment from AR Terms account because they are over their credit limit.  AutoPay Functionality: Customers can choose to have all outstanding invoices paid or just a set amount.

EASYPay allows you to optionally add Batch process functionality. This approach reduces your companies PCI Scope to the lowest level.  Seamlessly integrates the EASYPay AR Portal with EASYPay JDE E1 utilizing intelligent email workflow automation triggers.  The email links enable your Customers to directly enter their CHD in the secure EASYPay Portal.  Email Triggers are initiated through CSR action or automated JDE logic.

This eliminates exposure of raw card data within JDE, your network, your company.

New Deployment Options We started Cloud deployments four years ago. Now, 75% of our customers are now choosing Cloud over On-Prem. If you’re interested in switching to the Cloud, we recently started a Consumption-based model instead of commitment if you want to try out. You can cancel at any time.

You can even get a subscription for On-Prem. Gartner recently noted: “By 2020, more than 80% of software vendors will change their primary business model from traditional license and maintenance to subscription, regardless of whether the software resides on premise or in the cloud.” Let us know if you would like to consider changing deployments.

An EASYProcess 2-Day NoCode Platform Challenge: Removing Decision Uncertainty & Risk We recently had a new customer come out to our office for two days to discover what EASYProcess could truly do for them. They had attended many webinars and had seen brief 10 minute demonstrations EASYProcess, but they weren’t convinced it could do everything they need. We did four custom requests with them in only a matter of hours. One took us 15 minutes when their current vendor quoted 10 DAYS with a 1 month turn-around time! Needless to say, they left our office giddy to share the news with their team.

Problem How do you evaluate a no-code, enterprise, rapid development platform?

Solution Challenge potential vendor by visiting their office for two days. Throw them your real custom requests with no prior discussion and see if they can create them, and how long it takes to build.

Result   

4-custom requests finished in a few hours.

A new VIN API-based lookup completed in 30 minutes that their competitor has, but their site does not.

A freight override custom that was a 10 day SOW, done in 15 minutes.

Employee Spotlight Name: Cathy Calderon Title: Senior Application Developer At K-Rise Since: May 2016 Why Programming? In high school I volunteered at Youth Technology Corps, which refurbished donated computers and taught an intro level course on computers at the local Boys Club.

This sparked my interest in computers. When I went to UIC, Math & Computer Science was offered as a major which perfectly paired my two interests. Although I started out more interested in Math, I've always been big on problem solving and organizing. A lot of my college courses were basically solving problems, whether it was through programming, proofs, or logic puzzles. By the end of it, I loved the Computer Science side of my degree more than Math.

Interesting Facts: I am interested in crafts and art and like trying out new artistic mediums. In the past I learned how to solder because I wanted to make a pair of headphone earmuffs. When I started painting, I found a local art shop and began selling my work. After that, I experimented with metal work and jewelry-making.

This past year I learned to sew and created several costumes, some with a pattern and some of my own creation.
