We’re halfway through 2017.

We’ve grown a lot as a company—we have a few new functionalities to share with you—and we’ve been to a lot of places. Let’s reflect on the past few months, while also giving you a taste of the future too. come.

Service Dollars Hard at Work: EASYProcess Updates The biggest unveiling we have for Q3 is a New CMS for EASYProcess 4.8.3952.

As always, we love taking suggestions for improvements from our customers and prospects. Good E-Commerce CMS (Content Management System) functionality enables Business (or IT) users to create, edit / change content and publish content to create their desired “Look & Feel” requirements. CMS functionality enables the employees, like Marketing, to create new e-Commerce web pages. For example, creating a Summer Product Promotion web page or editing existing e-Commerce web pages.

For CMS, the main source of content is on Catalogs & Products. The CMS solution needs to have the flexibility to work with Catalog & Product features and attributes. Adding, removing, changing and updating (e.g., availability) the Catalog & Product information is essential.

Provides CMS HTML code integration from any CMS application

Is fully integrated with EASYCommerce / EASYProcess

Provides intelligent separation of CMS (views) from the business logic for seamless deployment

There are different approaches for Content Management Systems in ecommerce. A competitor of K-Rise EASYCommerce introduced a CMS partnership Bolt-On approach.

Disadvantages of a multiple solutions application Bolt-On approach include: 

Loss of CMS Freedom of Choice: If a Marketing Department is already using, for an example, Adobe Experience Manager or an open source solution, they should not be forced to abandon those solutions they’re already trained in for another CMS solution.



Limitations of Compiled Code: The CMS solution needs to fully integrate with the e-Commerce objects. A Bolt-On approach probably limits the CMS user with only working against already created compiled code. Thus the CMS user cannot work seamlessly with the e-Commerce application “back-end” (where the logic resides). Example, if the compiled code doesn’t allow the CMS user to work with custom tables – it probably involves an SOW cost request with the e-Commerce vendor.



One Centralized “Admin”: Multiple application approaches many times force the user to work against different application administration modules. A one “Admin” approach is better in many ways.



Issue Resolution: e-Commerce CMS involves managing the CMS HTML with the eCommerce objects. A multiple application / company approach adds complexity with issue resolution.

EASYCommerce Updates Grid Ordering We’ve made it easier for internal employees to order on behalf of a customer. There is now a “Grid Ordering” option for placing an order, which allows you to input multiple items quickly and easily.

On the same page is the shipping method, shipping address, order info, promotion codes, and summary total so all the information you need is in one place.

Ordering for customers on the phone will no longer be a hassle to go through the usual check out process.

Schematic Ordering Customers can now order parts through a dynamic picture catalog. There are multiple view points of an item, and the user clicks on the part they need to order.

Wilbur-Ellis, Improving JDE Customer & Vendor Processes with a No-Code Visual Modeling Platform Wilbur-Ellis is a three billion dollar leading international marketer and distributor of agricultural products, animal feed and specialty chemicals and ingredients.

This is a case-study review on how Wilbur-Ellis uses EASYProcess, a JDE integrated Application Development Platform for improving business processes.

We’ll review various projects including: Easily Creating & Maintaining JDE Customer Address Book Master Records with Centralized portal to initiate the new customer form, workflow approvals, and create the JDE customer master record used worldwide to increase efficiency and reduce errors. Demo will review easy to use GUI with field level selection, managing roles, permissions and workflow delegation logic tied to enforcement of rules outside of JDE. New Website Design We’re currently developing a new website!

We have changed a lot as a company these past few years, and we felt our website did not reflect the new K-Rise Systems and our initiatives.

We will still be at www.krisesystems.com, so no changes there! Expect to see a new site before the end of August. We’ll be sending out a more official announcement when we get closer to the unveiling.

Employee Spotlight Name: Cady Wakitsch Title: Sales & Marketing Coordinator At K-Rise Since: June 2016 Why Marketing? I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember, and I wanted to put those skills to use. I originally planned on becoming an English teacher, but decided not to at the last minute. My dad has always been into Marketing, and he suggested I think about being a Copywriter. It seemed like a much better fit for me, and I’m so glad I changed my mind.

Interesting Facts: I’ve always wanted to become an author. Every November I challenge myself to NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) in which hundreds of thousands of people attempt to write a 50,000 novel in one month. I have been successful two out of the last four years. My other big hobby is riding horses—I’ve been riding since I was 4 years old.
