Orchestrators:

1. Effective implementation of Orchestrators

As of DesignTime Revision 2447, RunTime Revision 1115, & ECC Revision 125 Orchestrators have been implemented more effectively in

2. Orchestration Tester:

A new IDE page called Orchestration Tester has been added to enable users to select an orchestration and test it with the given content.

Get Orchestration Inputs: Retrieves the input for the given orchestration and returns it as an XML structure.

Get Orchestration Outputs: Retrieves the output for the given orchestration.

Get Orchestrations:
 Retrieves all orchestrations for the given connection instance.

Orchestration: Runs the given orchestrations along with the given content.

Orchestration Input: Retrieves the input for the given orchestration and returns it as a JSON structure

Authentication:

1. Email connections using Modern Authentication:

As of DesignTime Revision 2432, RunTime Revision 1104, and ECC Revision 124 developers will have the ability to create email connections using Modern Authentication for email connections that receive emails.

2. Setup instructions for Gmail and Office 365: Instructions on setting up the Gmail and Office 365 side can be found at

3. Setup instructions for EASYProcess and ECC: Set up a new connection in your EASYProcess 5.1 tenant's connector application. If you are using ECC then check the Use ECC slider at the top of the Connection Manager page with the connection selected and go to your ECC Server Manager client to set up the variables.

Set the connection's AuthorizationType to OAUTH" and fill in the ClientId/ClientSecret or CredentialJson. Then set the Protocol, Server, and ServerType based on if you are using Gmail or Office 365. The ServerType value can either be Gmail or Office365 .

Note: As of October 1st, 2022 Microsoft has deprecated Basic Authentication and will permanently disable these connections in January 2023.

Loop Service

As of DesignTime Revision 2381and RunTime Revision 1041, the Loopservice now hasthe ability to utilize multiple threads in order to process records more efficiently. Users have three new nodes on the Loop service.

MultiThreaded:

This True/False value determines whether the loop service will have multithreading enabled.

NumberOfThreads:

This numeric value determines how many threads the loop service will use if the MultiThreaded node is set to True.

WaitForThreads:

This True/False value is not constrained to if the MultiThreaded node is True and will allow the logic to move to the next service before finishing the Loop. (Note: Loop logs for any service with this value set to True will not display under the parent logic object. They are only available under the loop itself.)

New in2023

MVC: We’re excited to nowoffer EASYCommerce and EASYItem in MVC and our BaseEASYPay in version 5.1 Classic.

For the uninitiated, here’s an in-depth explanation of MVC and its utility:

Model Defines data structure e.g update application to reflect added item

Updates

e.g list item toshow added item

Manipulates View Definesdisplay

(UI) e.g. user click “and to cart”

Sends input from user Sometimes updates directly

Controller Contains control logic e.g receives update from view then notifies model to “add item”

MVC (Model-View-Controller) is a pattern in software design commonly used to implement user interfaces, data, and controlling logic. It emphasizes the separation between the software's business logic and display.

This "separation of concerns" provides for a better division of labor and improved maintenance. Some other design patterns are based on MVC, such as MVVM (Model-ViewViewmodel), MVP (Model-View-Presenter), and MVW (Model-View-Whatever).

The three parts of the MVC software design pattern can be described as follows:

1 Model Manages data and business logic.

2 View Handles layout and display.

3 controller Routes commands to the model and views parts.

In the early days of the Web, MVC architecture was mostly implemented on the server side, with the client requesting updates via forms or links, and receiving updated views back to display in the browser. However, these days, more of the logic is pushed to the client with the advent of client-side data stores, and XMLHttpRequest, allowing partial page updates as required.

Employee Spotlight

The commitment and expertisethatour employees bring are anintegral part ofour client’s success! It gives us immense pleasure to spotlight Akshay Khanolkar, a talented programmer at K-Rise.

How did you get into programming?

When I was really young, my father worked as a computer programmer for a big tech company back in India. He ensured we had a computer in our house as he was certain that computers & software were the future. Hence I was acquainted with how to operate and debug issues on a PC before I learned most other subjects in school. In high school, as a student of the Introduction to Computer Programming course, I learned quickly that I loved the algorithmic method of problemsolving. Learning Q-Basic and C++ and watching my code perform tasks was like magic to me. One summer I got my hands on a Rubik’s cube as a gift and I spent all summer learning different ways to solve it. Learning how computer theory works and writing code began to come naturally to me and programming became my main interest. Upon graduating from high school I was certain that an engineering degree in Computer Science was the best path for me to forge a career.

How long have you been with K-Rise?

I’ve been a proud employee at K-Rise for over five years now. I joined back in July 2017.

Whatare some of your hobbies or interests outsideof programming?

Apart from the time I spend working, I absolutely love watching movies. The parents of several of my friends in high school wereTV show creators and directors. They used to organize a movie night for all of us children on holidays or especially during summer vacation. I loved watching movies from different countries and getting an insight into their lives such as how directors from various parts of the world were influenced by their cultures and how they framed and shot movies a certain way. Additionally how the meaning of words and gestures changed from different time periods and different countries. I still love watching a good foreign film and I absolutely love getting to know the directors and their points of view. Safe to say I’m an avid movie watcher. A lot of times I feel if I hadn’t made a career out of programming, I would have tried my hand at becoming a director!

My Favorite Food

I could never turn down a nice bowl of hot Ramen on a cold windy day. I’m a big fan of Asian and Indian food because of all the spices and flavors it has to offer. But if there was one food item that I would have to be stuck eating every day it has to be chicken wings in hot sauce!

Give us some interesting facts about yourself

I am a black belt in the art of taekwondo and used to run track in high school. I have many medals to show for it and kept running half marathons through college. I haven’t been so active since I moved to Chicago, perhaps I never got used to how cold it gets (haha!). Though I am seriously thinking of getting back into running.

The Excel, Email, and Shared Folders approach partially helps but inefficiencies like Duplicate Data/ Entries, Missing or Incorrect Data still exist. Thus, providing an easy way to accurately work against your many accounting codes is vital. A robust workflow notification approval engine is a necessity.
