The EASYProcess No-Code Platform is a system aimed at creating a uniform and accurate collection of data while maintaining a secure and efficient process for entering that data. This solution is fully configurable to meet your specific business process needs and can maintain any number of involved department roles and users.
Our No-Code IDE was created from our Low-Code IDE. Many No-Code Projects are 100% NoCode but the Low-Code IDE is available if needed.

A visual representation of the data structure of a Business Process
The Business Process Data has the following components: Pre-configured Entity: The root data that will be modified in the business process, such as an Item. This acts as a category or a holder for tables and fields that will be selected as part of
the data to be affected by the process. The Entity has two components of its own: Reference/Collection Entities: The specific JDE tables the process will be
updating or populating data into. Properties: The specific columns in the JDE table entities. The type of
data that will be entered.

The Procedural Steps:
A “Workflow” or visual representation of the procedural steps of a business process
The procedural steps of a process are presented in the form of a “Workflow”. A workflow is a visual representation that drives the business process. The workflow shows and dictates what the next steps are in the business process based on the configured logic.
The End-User Forms:
End-User Form
Forms are displayed on the interface the end users interact with. This form prompts the user to enter the necessary information and uses that contained information to commit the data to JDE.
Processes, including the Form, Workflow, and Entity components, can be created and managed in the no-code IDE.
New Item Creation: A Business Process Example Below is a visual representation of the data structure for a business process called “New Item Creation”.

The “New Item Creation” process will be updating two separate entities: “Item” and “Master Family Planning”. Creating a new item using this process will add records to the related JDE Tables, “Item Master”, “Item Branch”, and “Item Base”. The process will then also add records to the UDC, or “User Defined Codes” table to create the item there as well.

Revision 237: Logs In New Tab The logs link on the Menu and Home page now opens the Logs page in a new tab.
Revision 239: Usage In Form Designer Added the "Usage" feature to Form Designer.
Revision 240: EntityInputOutput Service Output Change Added MDMId as an output to the EntityInputOutput service.
Revision 242: No Code Multitask Status Tasks Bug Multitask Statuses are failing to create with the Start/Terminate statuses in the subworkflow. This means no connections can be made in the subworkflow.
Revision 244: Subworkflow Creation Fix Creating Subworkflow's adds NULL values for some Int datatype columns which breaks promotion of the MDM_Process objects. The columns have been added to the insert query.
Revision 245: Data Designer Property Data Rule Fix The Data Designer Manage Property window is failing to have a selection for the Data Rule dropdown. The selection for the data rule dropdown has been readded.
Revision 246: Data Designer Relation Keys Resolved an error when adding relation keys in the Data Designer page.
Revision 247: MultiTask Status Exit Fix MultiTask exits throw an error when they are deleted and recreated. Added code to properly delete the MultiTask status exit.
Revision 249: MVC Type In Visibility And Validation Widget Implemented an MVC type to save a webpage and controller for a form in the Visibility and Validation widget. Implemented action area saving for form actions.
Revision 250: Widget Filtering Using a Lookup property now filters the widgets shown in the dropdown to widgets with the LookupWidgetNC property set to true. Using the textbox or textarea control type from non-static properties now filters the widgets shown in the dropdown to widgets with the HelperWidgetNC property set to true.
Revision 251: Form Group ContainerType Implemented a new feature in form groups called ContainerType. This allows the user to set the group to be a Collection, Reference, or Widget type. All existing groups are Reference types. The Collection type allows the user to specify an Entity and then a Collection Entity for the group while the Widget type allows the user to set a widget for the group. Only widgets with the FormInsertWidget property set to True will be selectable.
Revision 252: Process Entity Enhancements Process Entities are now disallowed from having the same name and process entities can no longer be deleted if they are in use in a form or in logic and will notify the user of where it is in use.
Revision 253: SAML Login Fix Fixed a query in the logic for SAML login.
Revision 254: Navigation Properties Implemented navigation properties in the backend.
Revision 255: Array Input Output Mapping Dynamic arrays now have the ability to be mapped in the user interface.
Revision 259: ProcessCanvas AutoScroll When dragging connections in the ProcessCanvas the canvas will now scroll with the user when passing the edges.
Revision 260: EntityInputOutput Output Variable Path Modified the path for the EntityInputOutput service.
Revision 261: FormDesigner Group Columns Fix The FormDesigner is not visually showing the number of columns a group has. Changed the CSS in a group to properly line up the properties based on the number of columns in that group.
Revision 262: Workflow UI Changes Renaming tasks now properly update the name on the canvas. New exits/actions now default to the color black.
Revision 263: Data Designer Changes The data designer entity has been updated to be individual entity and entity relation entities. Added new pages to create and modify entities and entity relations.
Revision 264: Process Canvas AutoScroll Update Reuploaded the files for the auto-scroll feature in the process canvas to keep it in sync with the backend code.
Revision 265: Form Designer Columns Default Added a default of 2 for the number of columns in a group.
Revision 266: Logic Canvas Changes Moved the start and terminate services for new canvases and slightly modified the area to click to select a connection.
Revision 267: Menu Description Updates Updated the menu descriptions to include proper spacing.
Revision 269: StatusExit Service Placement Change The StatusExit service has been moved to the right so that it does not overlap with the start service.
Revision 271: Service Search And Workflow Parameters Removal The service search feature along with workflow parameters has been removed.
Revision 273: Workflow Task Connector Targeting Fix The connector for workflow tasks is difficult to target. The range has been reduced for the connector blinking to show a more accurate range to target.
Revision 274: Help Links The help icon on the Logic Canvas and the IDE menu now open a new tab using this link: EP Docs Manuel.
Revision 275: Workflow Canvas Changes Cleaned up several actions and exits editing features and added the form status name to the Visibility And Validation window.
Revision 276: EntityInputOutput Service Navigation The EntityInputOutput service now allows the properties of the parent entity to be added to the service as an output and adds the value to whichever input it gets connected to.
Revision 278: MDM Rename Fix Form and Data deletion is failing to properly delete the objects. The controller that deletes the objects has been reworked.
Revision 279: Form Property Editing Resolved several small issues around editing form properties.
Revision 280: Form Services Updates The form services will now show updated Outputs when new properties are added to the form. The navigation paths will update with the proper XSL path.
Revision 281: Connection Loading Fix After deleting a service with connected outputs and refreshing the canvas it will fail to properly load. Checks have been added to load the canvas.
3. RunTime Revision 1281: Form Designer Empty Group Fix If a group has no child, it gets connected visually to the group below when it is rendered. Groups with no children now stay independent when rendered.
Revision 1283: Form Event Input Change Modified the form input to be similar to the entity input.
Revision 1284: Form Property Event Update Updated the Form Property Event file to use the new BP titling.
Revision 1286: Log File End Times Fix When a log file is updated with its end time or space used, other log files may be incorrectly updated with those same values. Updated the log file queries with better where clauses.
Revision 1289: Invoice Page Counting Changed a count to keep track of pages instead of files.
Revision 1290: Classic Control Process Return Fix When a classic control process returns it updates the entire pages html. If this causes a JavaScript error it causes other actions like Notify to not work. Try catch statements have been added to allow for additional actions to work after errors.

B&G Foods: Master Data Material: Replacing SharePoint / Excel with Improved JDE Integration, Workflow, Forms, & Business Processes Register Here The SharePoint / Excel MDM approach worked but had issues requiring a new approach. B&G partnered with K-Rise using their acclaimed JDE pre-integrated No-Code IDE EASYProcess App Development Platform.
The B&G Master Data New Material Matrix factors: Material type: Finished Goods, Purchased Finish Goods, Packaging, Raw Material,s and WIP Cross-Functional Roles: Finance, Marketing, Logistics, Packaging, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory, and Product Development. The improved matrix vision with advanced automation required a platform that provided state-of-the-art Workflow, Drag/Drop Form, Data, and Logic functionality that’s real-time integrated with E1. The platform needed to be Cloud No-Code for quick deployment, easy change, expansion, and client development ownership.
One big issue with SharePoint was it lacked advanced logic conditions, checks, and item flags which caused at times process flows to simply stop, without notifications to anyone. It required a lot of manual effort to fix item onboarding issues.
The session demonstration will review Business Process Automation examples like: 1 Real-Time JDE Integration: Integrated to E1 “Source of Record/Truth” was a necessity. Correct UDC values and changing Item Status and Type mid-process was a base requirement. 2 Advanced Multi-Task Workflow: IB&G needed more than simple; “submit and save.” At a status, the process needed to multi-task too many different Roles providing, as an example, “Request to Deny” Approval… changes the stocking type to “O”(obsolete). 3 Communication / Visibility: Unit of Measure checks and validations occur across multiple roles and conditions. Advanced Workflow/Form/Logic platform functionality enabled complete automation with this complex process. 4 Replacing Hard-Coded logic with a Configurable Database: Category codes, Branch Plants, Item Defaults, and more had to be real-time and maintainable.

Matt Sweeney
Behind every success story at K-Rise Systems is a team of dedicated individuals committed to driving innovation and excellence. In this edition, we shine a spotlight on one of our outstanding team members Matt Sweeney, celebrating his contributions and learning more about the passion that fuels his work. Can you give us a brief introduction of yourself, including your role and responsibilities within the K-Rise development team? I work on the product team developing some of the tools used by the rest of the company. My biggest claim to fame is our mobile app, which I do all the development for. When my time isn’t needed there, I contribute to the web-based IDE or runtime environments.
Where did you attend school? I went to Illinois Wesleyan University, where I got a BA in computer science and music.
Tell us about the musical instruments you play I play bass trombone (the best instrument), so of course I like a bunch of orchestral and wind ensemble music, but I also love musical theater and symphonic metal.
What are some of your hobbies or interests outside of work? I enjoy video games, regarding, I would say I have a modest knowledge of literature and history. My favorite meme is Big Chungus.
What are some of your favorite foods? I like a morning when I can brew some tea and cook a couple of eggs over hard.
How did you get started in the field of IT development? I suppose you could say I got started when working in Scratch from a young age. I was pretty bad though -my UI needed to be more refined and the resulting programs needed an overarching design philosophy. I joined “computer-y” clubs in high school, and by the time I started college, I knew I wanted to study computer science. During that time, I got an internship at Argonne National Laboratory dealing with data collected on the operation of data centers and their infrastructure. After graduating in 2021, I started here at K-Rise.
What are some of the most interesting or challenging projects you've worked on as an IT developer? One of my most intense and memorable projects was not long after I joined. Working on the mobile app, I had to integrate Microsoft Authentication Library (MSAL) to support shared device mode: a way for corporate-owned devices to be shared between multiple employees. The only compatible library I found was the incomplete project of a Microsoft summer intern, so I learned how to finish implementing it myself. Dealing with so many new topics at once was stressful, but it was very rewarding to get everything working.
How do you stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in the IT industry? I subscribe to a few newsletters about software development topics. And I don’t know if this counts, but I did take several courses on AI back in college.
What advice would you give to someone aspiring to become an IT developer? The best & easiest step someone could take is to work on their own project(s). Ideally, you can produce something useful for yourself and in the process learn about unfamiliar topics and discover what you like. Plus, it’s a good chance to try the latest frameworks and libraries.
