There's a new Eatery in Conklin with a history going back decades. The Bistro and Bakery is none other than "the little oak" from the family that brought you the Red Oak Diner on Front Street in Binghamton.... So you already know you are in for a treat!

When the decision was made to write the last chapter of the Red Oak Diner it wasn't an easy one. There were so many great memories and so many friends made over the years both with customers & the staff. But as one door closes another one opens. And so it was for Julianne and her daughter Maria. They both missed the business and their many, many friends, but they also wanted something just a bit different that both of them could put their arms around and open up again. As fate would have it, they found the perfect property and neighborhood in Conklin so they both dove right in to make it a place everyone would love to come to. And so with opening day their greatest hopes were realized as the neighborhood and all their regulars from the Red Oak, and new friends as well, welcomed them in. When you walk in the doors you know you've come home to a very spe cial eatery where you're part of the family. While enjoying any number of great homemade dishes and desserts like Spinach Pie, Gyros, Bavarian Cheesecake and Hand Pies, you might be amazed at the genuine caring and connection between Julianne & Maria, the staff and guests. Everyone is friends with everyone. And if you're new to the little oak, don't worry, as soon as you come in you'll be a regular from there on and part of the family. And just in case I didn't say it with the appropriate, well deserved, emphasis... you are really going to love the dishes they prepare fresh for you every day and all the great bakery items!
