Electrical contact material is the utmost crucial component for all electrical contact as different formulation will affect electrical performance in terms of conductive properties, electrical contact resistance, welding resistance, usage effect and lifespan. Usage of different material combination will also affect the qualified yield performance, final product cost and selling price.

Juxing had successfully developed and manufactured contact materials in 2011 after a major breakthrough by the inhouse R&D division. This major technological advancement had presented flexibility in the control of contact materials for different application.

Self-Developed Manufacturing Methodology

In the manufacture of raw material for electrical contact, Juxing utilizes 3 self-developed methodology: Powder Metallurgy, Internal Oxidation and Powder Oxidation.

Armed the knowledge of various secret raw material formulation coupled with the above 3 manufacturing methodology, Juxing is able to control the material quality and cost to attain a high performance to cost ratio contact material.

Powder Metallurgy Achieved by combining silver powder and secondary metal powder, followed by the cooling of the molten powder into a mould and subsequently undergo the sinter process.

Internal Oxidation Achieved by a process that includes melting, turning, compression, wire drawing, annealing and oxidation. This process is primarily suited to manufacture silver oxide contact material such as AgCdO, AgSnO2In203, AgCuO, AgZnO.

Powder Oxidation Achieved by the combinination of Powder Metallurgy and Internal Oxidation process.

Components Assembly Technology

Positioned as a one stop solution provider for electrical contact, we had integrated electrical component assembly in our process flow to provide our client with the full assembled component with electrical contact.

This had enabled us to achieve a high-performance price ratio by using a combination of different technology to increase efficiency, lower production cost and ultimately providing a competitive pricing to our clients.

3 different component assembly methodology were used to assemble silver contact to copper components, namely automated riveting, chemical metallurgy welding and in-mould welding technology.

AUTOMATED RIVETING Use of automated in-mould riveting technology to assemble contact rivet onto copper components.

CHEMICAL METALLURGY WELDING Using chemical metallurgy welding process to combine electric contact and copper components into a single piece. This process significantly increases the thermal conductivity and bonding strength which in turn, improve the product reliability.

IN-MOULD WELDING The latest in welding technology, this process provides cost saving by shortening the manufacturing cycle. In mould welding requires only metal alloy wire and copper belt to produce electric contact components, thereby realizing a 2 steps process from material -> contact components, rather than the conventional 3 steps commencing from material -> electric contact -> electric contact components. This process increases the market competitiveness of the assembled contact components by reducing work process and component cost while increasing usage performance.

Self-Developed Automated Machineries

Our inhouse technical team possessed the capability to develop and built the production facilities. This is evidenced by our invention patent awarded for the world first automated Tri-Metal Contact Rivet machine that was invented by our inhouse R&D and technical team in 2009. The patented machine had propelled Juxing contact rivets production to a yearly capacity of 6 hundred million before topping as the China market leader in 2019.

PRODUCTION FACILITIES

Material Production Workstation Faciliate the production of contact materials based on specific formulation. Materials are currently processed using 3 different methods: Powder Metallurgy, Internal Oxidation and Powder Oxidation.

The workstation illustrated is the power metallurgy processing station where silver powder is combined with secondary metal powder, melted in a molten state followed by forming onto the required size and subsequently undergo the sinter process.

Rivet Production Workshop

Automated rivet production machines are used to produce contact rivets according to specific dimensions.

Fully automated with auto feeder, the raw material is transported to the rivet production machine, compressed and formed into the required size and dimensions before contact components are secured onto the rivets.

Oxidation Processing Centre

Oxidation is an important process in the production of silver oxide contact material.

Utilizing the latest internal oxidation technology, silver oxide contact materials such as AgCdO, AgSnO2In203, AgCuO and AgZnO can be manufactured precisely in secured enclosure while eliminating external contamination.

Vaccum Gold Plating Workstation Vaccum gold plating, otherwise known as Physical Vapor Depostion (PVD), produces a better external finishing and functional coating layer(s) that are more corrosive resistant compared to conventional gold plating.

Electrical contact components that undergo this process will possess brilliant decorative and functionality (with improved conductivity) that are more resistant to external environmental conditions.

Component Processing Workshop The component processing workshop comprises of a wide variety of machineries that realize shape and form by undergoing automated progressive stamping and shape forming processes.

Silver contacts are subsequently assembled onto the finished components through automated riveting, chemical metallurgy welding or in-mould welding process.

Welding Component Workstation Assembly of silver alloy contacts on components (primarily copper) is a crucial process as it would affect the conductivity, electrical resistant and lifespan of the finished electrical component.

In-mould welding is the latest manufacturing technology that requires only metal alloy wire and copper belt to produce the final electrical contact components. This process facilitate market competitiveness by reducing work processes and component cost without sacrificing usage performance.

Primarily used to determine the maximum lifespan of contactors, relays, electrical plugs, electrical sockets and switches. Electrical Contacts Contact Rivet Flake Contact Plate Multi-Layer Composite Welding Contact Our electrical contact series comprises of electrical contact rivets and flake contact plates that are commonly used in circuit breaker, relays, thermal control, switches and EDM applications.

Our range of contact rivets are available in 3 variation, Solid, Bi-Metal and Tri-Metal contact rivets. The available contact head material includes a wide assortment ranging from silver to multiple silver oxide material with copper as the primary base.

Flake contact plates are flat electrical contacts comprises of silver and silver alloy with high electrical conductivity properties, and are available ranging from silver graphite (AgW) to oxide metal alloy such as silver tin indium oxide (AgSnO2In2O3). Our unique multi-layer composite welding contact, typically comprises of 3 layers of metal material with iron base, is developed specially for ease of welding.

Multi-Layer composite welding contact comprises of 3 layers to facilitate the ease of welding. The composite comprises convex layer in iron or copper nickel at the top layer, copper at the center and base area in either Silver Nickel, Fine Grain Silver Nickel, Silver Cadmium Oxide and Silver Tin Oxide.

Riveting Welding Stamped Assembled Contact Component plays a critical role in electric current control as it determines the functionality and reliability of electrical current control devices such as switches, relays, circuit breakers and contactors. The bonding strength between the silver contact and the corresponding mounting components must therefore remain tightly secure at all times to ensure uninterrupted electrical control.

Depending on the design of the electrical circuitry and the shape of the final assembled part, 3 different methodology was deployed to secure the electrical contact to their copper component counterpart, namely through riveting, welding and stamping process.
