2010 is almost over and right now we are BREAKING FREE through (Juwel Designs And Prints, Juwels Magazine, Juwels Entertainment, Juwels Publishing and Distribution, Juwels Production Studios and recently Juwels 4 Sku). Juwels Magazine is getting bigger and better in each edition and we have got a lot of surprises in store for our readers. With this edition, you get another hot Free CD with various music from various Zambian Artists. ‘‘ We are breaking free from the chains of oppression, chains of defeat, chains of un-acceptance, chains of depression, chains of doubt, chains of bondage that have kept us away from progress, I have a dream’’. Those are some lines from a Poem I wrote a few years ago which has refueled my desire to succeed. Over the last couple of months, I have been haunted by the thoughts of what drives us as human beings. Is it money, love, careers, education or what? Through my dazed state while thinking about this, I have realised that Yes, what drives us is our dreams!! The motto for Juwels magazine is ‘‘in pursuit of the Zambian dream’’ . What is the Zambian dream you may ask? Well we will try and cover that issue during our independence day special report in the November/December edition. I have known that without our dreams, we are nothing but empty bottles because we will have no substance and desire to succeed and achieve whatever we dream of becoming. Look at all the successful people in the world. What has made them Rich, Successful and Wealthy is their dreams. Again, look at the poorest people in the world, how big are their dreams? You might add on and say that its circumstances beyond their control but if they indeed have a big dream, they will step out of poverty into wealth through their dreams. Nowadays, I ask myself this question almost everytime!! What do you want to become Ntwale. My answer is always this ‘‘The best I can be in everything I will do’’. This implies that in whatever we put our hands on, we should do it with honors like its the last thing we will ever do in life and it will be our legacy - something to be remembered for. In this edition we showcase the just ended South Africa 2010 world cup which was hosted on African soil. On the cover we have Jamaican Fame, who is a newcomer in the Zambian music industry (read more about him and his quest for Fame on page 10 and 11 and listen to his songs on the Free CD in the magazine. We also highlight the opening of the Pick ‘n’ Pay outlet in Zambia - we were there, it was packed. We also celebrate Nelson Mandela’s 92nd birthday and life story and we also showcase his ex-wife Winnie Mandela. We also dwell on heated debates such as Paul the Octopus who made worldwide headline news by predicting the results of most games in the South Africa world cup.

It’s a slightly different edition as always and we know it will be very interesting and educative. We have introduced new sections and content because we are “in pursuit of the Zambian dream”.

One Love and Stay Blessed.
