The wind had been blowing a gale the week of the bridal shower, so Hannah decided to hire a bell tent from Nomadic Belle. “This was a last-minute decision to save the picnic from blowing away,” she says. “The wild weather just added to the excitement and the tent really took the styling to another level.”

“The beautiful boho-chic styling made the day so cosy,” says Trish. “And the girls were lots of fun to work with and really quite creatively talented when it came to making their flower crowns. There were lots of giggles and newfound skills.”

After the picnic, the bride tribe headed off to watch Jenna’s favourite National Rugby League team, the Parramatta Eels, play – quite the contrast to the girly crafternoon! BML

TRISH CARTER “Blue Mountains Floral Designs is a studio-based wedding and event florist with an eco-thoughtful ethos. We are pro same-sex marriage and a really easygoing and organised business to work with. My inspirations come from looking around me daily when out and about in the beautiful Blue Mountains. Anything green, ferny, organic and a little bit bohemian gets my creative juices flowing. Being an inspired florist can be a bit of a traffic hazard though, especially when I’m out driving around and see an amazing plant or tree on the side of the road that really catches my eye!”

HANNAH LANGE “I grew up in the Blue Mountains, however left eight years ago to travel and live in different places. I returned at the beginning of 2017 after my son started walking and I very quickly realised I couldn’t live in an apartment anymore. I’ve worked in the Indigenous not-for-profit sector on and off for the past 10 years, mainly in events management, and have also worked for festivals, in media and even lived and worked at an animal refuge in the Amazon for a bit! Picnics by Hannah was born from the urge to have a creative outlet and having the flexibility to fit in with being a mum. I offer three main services – couples and group picnics, gourmet grazing platters and prop hire. The Blue Mountains landscape inspires me to create unique picnic set-ups. And I’m a hopeless romantic so a lot of my inspiration comes from loving love.”
