As mankind getting nearer to the 22nd century, there’s no doubt that technology is advancing day by day.

In modern days, you will find it rare to see a child not holding any digital devices, and this is Mr.Ewan’s biggest concern: technology spends more time with his son than Mr Ewan himself. Mr Ewan, father of two boys, wants to spend as much quality time with his family, especially his boys but at the same time not removing technology devices out of their lives. Now, he’ll often choose to either accompany his wife or his boys in different rooms in his house due to there is just simply not enough space in neither room that can fit the whole family comfortably. Mr Ewan wasn’t happy about the amount of natural lighting in his house.

Problems to be considered • Less interaction with family -Remove unessary walls to increase interaction with family & maximize air flow • Senior citizen -Carefully designed room and toilet while referring to UBBL for wheel-chair • Insufficient natural lighting -add more big openings and mini courtyard void • Ensure the house can accomodate a family of 6 -create for multi-purpose spaces • Would be happy to have hobby room -add mezzanine deck to first floor

A courtyard void in the centre of the stairs to ensure optimum natural light reaching into the house.

An open floor plan concept which allows the client to monitor and maximize interaction with his family.

Having void by both ends of the study area to maximize natural light to glimps through.

Kids Room /Bonding Area

A small but comfartable sized master bedroom to compromise the other spaces on the first floor.

A gift for Mrs. Farah as she always wanted a walkin wardrobe. Sunlight is also at the finest position for make-up.

A full height sliding panel is used to divide the boys rooms instead of a wall to transform the space into a more meaningful one.

Locating in the heart of KLang Valley, there’s no doubt that every square feet of Arcoris is worth some pennies, around RM1000/sqft to be exact.

Mr. Joseph and Mrs. Khoo are both investors that are constantly looking for extra bucks in their pocket, having few units in this high rise building, both of them saw an opportunity to have additional square feet to make their investment worth it. Renovation in high rise residential requires a special submission process known as Kebenaran Merancang (KM) / Town Planning (TP) submission due to strata title issues.

Went to site several times to acquire precise measurements and visited Arcoris management office for official documents such as land title, strata title, s&p etc.

Visited DBKL a lot to acquire relevant documents and forms. Due to the pandemic, DBKL has strict SOP’s to keep everyone safe and that increases the difficulities of architects and PSPs.

Desperate time calls for desperate measure, Puan Noor, our client wants to sell the bungalow to officially draw a line between her and her ex-husband, Ar.Subki. Due to miscommunication between the previous architect and MBPJ, they never got an approval for building this bungalow despite it being built already. Our firm has agreed to try and help Puan Noor to get a renovation approval instead of a rebuild approval. To complicate the work more, the project has been under the authority’s black list.

Went to site to measure building.

Perhaps the hardest part of the project, fake the building plans as to renovation submission instead of rebuild submission although in reality it is a rebuild. We tried to use the neighbouring house as base for renovation to create the ‘renovation diagram’.

Mr. Anthony, our client believes that working while exercising is the best to increase productivity immensely. Therefore, the narrative of creating a gym studio office is our main drive to the project. What really bring this project’s difficulity to another level is that not only our firm is the representing architect, we are also the contractors and interior designers.

The Rock methodist church

To have a new religious building from scratch in Malaysia is often not an easy task, several issues will emerge and needs to be considered. There’s no doubt establishing a new religious building will raise controversial voices and usually these monuments will often need to go through a tough phase of collecting funds to achieve a desirable result. In the bible, the word ‘ROCK’ has often been mentioned to refer God metaphorically. Also, the ROCK also gives people an idea of solidity and sturdiness, hence we hope that the ROCK will be able to set the ground of uniting the people in Alam Megah spiritually.

Mr Loong, our client has always wanted an enermous office house because he enjoys working from home. As a businessman, Mr.Loong often needs to entertain his clients and business partners, instead of always bringing them out to a fancy restaurant or a bar, he wanted to entertain his guest in his house as well but at the same time not losing the experience. Hence, many rooms and spaces are needed to accomdate Mr.Loong demands.

Without making the building looks extraordinary gigantic, windows positioning and sizes are distorted around to create an illusion to trick people into believing that its not actually a super enermous house.
