Welcome to the 8th Annual Hybrids For Profit Bull & Female Sale! It is truly an honor to bring you this years sale offering. We have spent long hours making critical breeding decisions over several years and we feel this offering will not only increase your hybrid vigor but also increase your bottom line proving once again how ChiInfluenced cattle perform and reproduce in harsh environments, feed efficiently and produce a high yielding, high grading carcass. These are the type of cattle to keep you in business. With an already strong AI program that utilizes many of the top sires in the country as well as increasing our Embryo Transfer program, we have seen vast advancements in our cowherd. The cow power backing this sale is obvious when evaluating the offering, much like our offerings in the past, and we think that is a true testament to the consistency and uniformity from top to bottom. Never have we been able to make such a positive change with just one generation as we can today. We would like to again introduce Beckett Ranch with consignments in the Chi bull side of things as well as introduce the Ford/Voss operation who are bringing a tremendous set of Simmental/SimAngus bulls. We appreciate their partnership and invite you to evaluate their programs and invest with confidence! A supplement sheet will be available closer to sale date which will include: yearling weight, ADG, ultrasound information and scrotal measurement. All bulls will be semen tested prior to the sale and a certificate will accompany them sale day. We have been very fortunate to have had another successful year with our genetics, both in seedstock and commercial operations as well as in the show ring, largely in part to our customers. We have been using Chiangus genetics in our commercial cow/calf operation for nearly 20 years. We appreciate the hybrid vigor, heavy weaning weights and overall performance that the breed has to offer. Raising our own replacement females; we have found that the disposition, easy calving, quick breed-back, high udder structure, and adaptability to harsh climates of the Chiangus breed is extremely desirable in our operation located in Northwest Colorado. We have been using Justin Holt Cattle genetics for over five years. These bulls are bred and developed so that they are able to easily adjust to the high altitude, rough terrain and harsh climate of Northwest Colorado, while still covering the cows and holding their flesh. Because our operation is multi-generational, disposition of the bulls we run is very important to us. Holt bulls have met our expectations in all aspects. We have been using Chiangus cattle as the foundation of our cow calf herd since the 1980’s. My family has bred Chiangus since the first pure blood Chi’s came to this part of the nation. Some see it as a dying breed. I do not, I see it as an adaptive and elite breed. Cross Chi with almost any British breed and you will gain growth and performance, hybrid vigor. When it comes to the show ring Chi influence can be used to improve style and performance wherever you may need it. Justin Holt is someone who believes this as well, I think, because you can see it in his cattle. He truly has something for everyone. If you are looking for a powerful herd bull or something to excel in the show ring chances are he has it and is willing to work with you in the long run far after the sale. My father or myself have not missed a sale since Justin started selling eight years ago and we will continue to support his program and the Chiangus breed.

Cattle will not be released from the Aberdeen Livestock Barn until payment or satisfactory arrangements for payment have been made and approved by the consignor. The consignor reserves the right to require a certified check as settlement before releasing any cattle. All lots offered sell under the standard terms and conditions endorsed by the American Chianina Association/American Simmental Association. RETAINED INTERESTS - Justin Holt Cattle & guest c+onsignors are selling two-third interest and full possession on all bulls offered. They are retaining a one-third revenue sharing semen interest only. This means you have full control, possession and all salvage rights. PURCHASES & RISKS - All animals are at owners risk prior to sale and become property of the buyer as soon as declared sold by the auctioneer. INSURANCE – Available through Krohmer Agency, Inc. day of sale. BIDDING – All lots sell to the highest bidder. Any disputes or challenges regarding bids will be settled by the auctioneer and ring men. The auctioneer’s decision will be final.
