In 1962 a jazz and classical pianist named Don Shirley who was an African American hired an Italian American bouncer named Frank (Tony lip) Vallelonga to serve as Don Shirley’s driver and bodyguard in a time when racism and slavery was still strong. This made the drive very difficult as it was not known for someone of color to be of higher power in the 1960’s The Green Book Movie is an inspirational movie
