This year we are celebrating the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad 150 years ago that forever changed the landscape of our region, and was instrumental in the development of Truckee’s commerce and economy.

The railroad is one of the things that makes Truckee the place that it is – it’s our legacy, our history.
