D E S I G N I N S P I R A T I O N S | Counter Trends There is an art to creating the perfect workspace in your kitchen; it needs certain tones and appeals, and functions to get it just right. Suppose you are deciding on the materials, finishes, and design for your kitchen. An excellent place to start is with an essential component like the countertop. Countertops can make or break a design, and it’s where all the magic happens. We have compiled few needs to know when choosing the perfect countertop. As you would expect, these trends focus heavily on color and material choices. Spoiler alert: quartz is still killing it in the kitchen, but concrete is a top contender.
The countertop has always been a significant element of kitchen décor. Through the generations, we have gone from style to style as homeowners seek the perfect look for their main cooking space. In modern times, variety is the theme of the day. Homeowners have an almost endless selection of materials, styles, sizes, and finishes to choose from.
Quartz is still king in the kitchen. Quartz is effortless to maintain. Since this material is non-porous, there is no need to spend time resealing it. This material is highly resistant to staining and is one of the most hygienic countertops out there. Add to that the fact that quartz is extremely strong, making it super durable. You can count on this low-maintenance material since, clearly, it is not going anywhere anytime soon.
Concrete on Demand Looking for a more modern and industrial feel to bring new life to your kitchen? Concrete is ondemand due to its texture, tones, and patterns. This unique approach gives you a dash of the industrial trend that is here to stay. Concrete has monochromatic tonal variations or flecks of contrasting colors, giving your concrete For more design & build inspirations visit JustHome.US or on Social Media @JustHomeUS

Have you been sitting in the
DARK? Now that 2021 is here, and most of us now realize the importance of good lighting in our home. One because a lot of us spent a good 365 days working from our couch or kitchen tables. Never in a million years did we think we would belonging to spend more time at our home away from homes, our “offices.”
So let’s jump into the top lighting trends for 2021 that will be the light of your life this year, whether style and finishes or bright or warm lumens. Blending and mixing metal finishes, like brass with silver or glossy with a matte, will be a design detail that can last well into the decade. The 2021 line-up of lighting fixture trends is out. You can spruce up your interiors with any of these lighting looks as an upto-the-minute addition to your home that expresses you. Check out a Boho design style that accentuates a relaxed, comforting type of lifestyle. These designs are filled with natural materials and organic shapes. Giving a warm and inviting look of natural woven light fixtures is a total trend. A hip lighting look for any outdoor living area or guest bedroom. Large light bulbs as lighting is a favorite look that heralds back to the early 20th century; the industrial style found in many manufacturing facilities was an easy, costeffective way to provide lighting. Today, designers find these large bulbs very stylish as yet another component to the industrial décor trend. Last but not least, Minimalistic is a classically modern style that has been around for decades. The understated features of a minimalistic pendent light or chandelier works well with many design looks from ultra-modern to industrial. D E S I G N I N S P I R A T I O N S | Bath Trends
Luxury Walk-In Showers As we have seen in many design ideas lately, open floor plans are all the trend, and now bathrooms have taken that trend on with a little creative imagination. For instance, if you plan to remodel your bathroom. Large walk-in showers are prominent in the remodeling world right now. A walk-in shower creates an open floor plan feel with a seamless transition from this space to the rest of the bathroom. Walk-in showers often offer more versatile fixtures like seating, steam room, or even large freestanding soaking tubs. Walk-in showers provide the appeal of a relaxing minimalist bathroom, with the safety of safer access for the elderly and children. Here are 5 things to consider when remodeling your bathroom. 1)
Shower Sizes — Depending on the initial size of your bathroom, these may be size options to consider 32" x 32" • 34" x 34" • 36" x 36" • 42" x 36" • 48" x 36" • 48" x 48" • 60" x 36"
2)
Position — Placement is a big one. If you are remodeling, it’s best to leave your new shower in the same place as your old one; it would require less plumbing and save you a little coin.
3)
Type of Glass — Some key things to consider are: • The most common glass type is 3/8" or 10mm glass. It is durable, safe, long-lasting, and cost-effective. • Usually, an upgrade, you may occasionally see 12mm or 1/2" glass width. The thought is showers with this glass thickness will have a more opulent look. However, it isn’t any safer than the 3/8" or 10mm glass. Plus it will add substantial weight and cost.
4) Showerhead — From a handheld showerhead to a standard wall mounted head, there are many showerheads available today. Talk with your contractor to see if you can find one that meets your needs. 5)
Soap, Shampoo & Bodywash — Don't forget to include a small shelf or two in your walls for placing shampoos, conditioners, gels, etc. Size these shelves to accommodate the tallest bottles.
