Ron Santiago de Cuba returns to Berlin for our second year at BCB! There are a number of exciting things lined up, from global guest bartender shifts, to a Cuban fiesta on Monday night at KINK with Gina Barcachano from Mexico City.

Come and visit us at our stand to try some of our delicious cocktails or to take part in our Daiquiri Shake Off!

MONDAY 12-1PM: YAW ASANTE

Mr Fox, Croydon, England

Yaw is the group Drink Development manager for Bart and Taylor (group owner of Mr Fox). He has a passion for creating drinks that let the spirit shine through, combining extensive knowledge of classic cocktails with new and innovative techniques he manages to produce diverse menus and creative specials. Yaw is Ron Santiago de Cuba’s Daiquiri Week winner (London) and will be serving this winning drink

MONDAY 1-2PM: GABS CASADO

Blinker, Manchester, England

Gabs is from Caracas, Venezuela but has been living in Manchester, England for the last 5 years. She is Head Bartender at Blinker which opened in May 2022 and after just 6 months made it into the Top 50 UK bars at #41 and has the ambition to be even higher next year. Gabs is Ron Santiago de Cuba’s Daiquiri Week winner (North) and will be serving this winning drink

MONDAY 3.30-5.30PM: JORGE LUIS ALBERICH

Tira Palla, Ibiza

Jorge discovered that he could make people happy from behind the bar, and didn’t look back. He is bartender and owner of Tira Palla, which has become a place of pilgrimage for most of the island’s bartenders, as well as tourists and locals who want to have a good time and enjoy some delicious and elaborate drinks.

GIULIANO BINI

Bambuddha, Ibiza

Giuliano Bini was born in Monopoli (Apulia), a small sea village in the south of Italy. Giuliano started his hospitality career in London, working in Nobu, Berkeley Street and then Blake’s Hotel, where the team won best boutique hotel in UK. After moving to Ibiza, Guiliano passed all his knowledge & experience to Bambuddha, the most iconic restaurant on the island.

Freni E Frizioni, Rome, Italy

Riccardo’s career started in London, working there for 5 years in different styles of bars. In 2013 he moved back to Italy, becoming bar manager & business partner at Freni E Frizioni and now is invited to guest bartending shifts & seminars all around the world. Freni E Frizioni appears in top industry lists & in 2021 it won bar of the year at the Italian Bar Awards.

Born & raised in Cuba, two-time winner of World Class Bartender of the Year and owns cocktail bars in Barcelona. He has an unparalleled passion for and understanding of Cuban rum that stems from his family’s Cantinero history and his years of experience in the bar business.

Tommy relocated from Australia to London, where he has spent the last decade honing his expertise across numerous channels. He is an accredited WSET educator with a passion for sharing his knowledge and interest in the craft behind the label.
