The transition from Just Cuts ™ Stylist to Owner is a natural fit for anyone who has always wanted to be their own boss, has a passion to succeed and is looking to take the next step in their career. A number of our Owners who were once Stylists took the big plunge and have never looked back! Get to know a few who made the change.

Q: How long have you been a Just Cuts ™ Owner for? A: It’s been almost five years now – I took over the salon in September 2011.

Q: How long were you a Stylist for before becoming an Owner? A: I worked at Just Cuts ™ Cairns in Queensland for a year and a half before becoming an Owner, but had a very long hairdressing career in Germany beforehand!

Q: What made you decide it was time to open your own salon?

A: I used to run three high-end salons in Germany for almost 20 years

and was ready for a big holiday. I came to Australia and immediately wanted to keep myself busy. I met the Owner of Just Cuts ™ Cairns who took me on as a Stylist and also introduced me to the Just Cuts ™ business system. I loved the idea of no appointments, no requests and no colouring. Then suddenly there was the opportunity to take over the Leichhardt salon and here I am today, still as in love with the brand as I was over six years ago!

Q: What has been the best part about becoming an Owner? A: It’s just an amazing system. I have the support of all the other

Owners and the Academy Team, which makes it so much more fun! And easier, of course.

Q: Any tips for Stylists looking to take the plunge? A: Work hard and go for it! When you have such a great network of

fellow Owners and the help of the Academy Team who are all ready to assist you in growing your own business, it’s like having a whole other family you can turn to whenever you need!

Q: How long have you been a Just Cuts ™ Owner for?

A: I joined the Just Cuts ™ Owner community in July 2014.

Q: How long were you a Stylist for before becoming an Owner? A: I was a Stylist for 10 years before I made the big change.

Q: What made you decide it was time to open your own salon? A: Growing up, I learnt a lot from my father who worked as a bank

manager and independent business owner. He inspired me to want to open my own business one day.

Q: What has been the best part of becoming an Owner? A: The best part is meeting other Just Cuts ™ Owners, gathering knowledge and sharing ideas with each other. I love setting myself new challenges, aims and goals in life too!

Q: Any tips for Stylists looking to take the plunge? A: You have to love your work wholeheartedly and always motivate yourself to do something beyond your limits. If others can do it, why can’t you? So put yourself out there and just rock and roll.

Christine Eid Owner of Just Cuts ™ Melton-Woodgrove, Victoria

Q: How long have you been a Just Cuts Owner for? A: My husband, Rhys, and I have been Franchisees since July last year.

Q: How long were you a Stylist for before becoming an Owner? A: I worked as a Stylist for 16 years before becoming an Owner.

Q: What made you decide it was time to open your own salon? A: I’ve always been driven and passionate about what I do. And I just knew in my heart that one day I’d own my own salon.

Q: What has been the best part of becoming an Owner? A: Definitely the feeling of accomplishment that I get each day.

There’s something special about owning your own business (and getting to work in it) that’s so much more rewarding than anything else I’ve done.

Q: Any tips for Stylists looking to take the plunge? A: Just give it a go and follow your dreams. Don’t let anyone say you can’t do it! The best thing I ever did was take the next step and I’m loving every minute of it.

Samantha Bennett Owner of Just Cuts™ Dubbo Square, New South Wales

Q: How long have you been a Just Cuts ™ Owner for?

A: I’m new to the family – it’s only been a few months!

Q: How long were you a Stylist for before becoming an Owner?

A: I started working at Just Cuts ™ as a Stylist 15 years ago and have moved between a few Just Cuts™ salons in New South Wales since then. Most recently, I was the Team Leader at Just Cuts ™ Dubbo Orana Mall. And 12 months later, I own the other salon nearby in Dubbo Square!

Q: What made you decide it was time to open your own salon?

A: I’ve been in the hairdressing industry for 21 years now and for the last 15 I’ve been loving the whole Just Cuts ™ system. So when the opportunity to purchase a salon near me came up, I was thrilled!

Q: What has been the best part of becoming an Owner? A: The best part is knowing my hard work will benefit my family’s future. Q: Any tips for Stylists looking to take the plunge A: If the opportunity arises, trust yourself and take it. You won’t look back!
